RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

RE: good at welding? - Oil-burner - 07-02-2013

Depends what it is, he fabbed up a stainless for my dt for the price of some pipe.
He does it at work so it doesnt cost him owt.

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

was just wondering how much to knock up an xud turbo manifold for gearbox mounting?

RE: good at welding? - Oil-burner - 07-02-2013

You're gonna need some mandrel bends etc, guessing it would be a bitch of a job.
Theres a lad just had a box mounted td04 put on his hdi.
Id ask him how much he paid

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

ive already asked him lol

RE: good at welding? - Rippthrough - 07-02-2013

Stainless or mild steel? What diameter tube?

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

any steel really and i was thinking 2.5-3 inch would work right?

RE: good at welding? - Rippthrough - 07-02-2013

So about 1.75" tube from the head? Depends on what turbo you'll be running I suppose...

Quote:ive already asked him lol

And had to sit down afterwards? Big Grin
's a lot of hours of tweaking to get everything in there...

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

lets just for instance say a td04 for now?

come to think of it someone said on a thread a while ago you was a good welder hahah

RE: good at welding? - ozonehostile - 07-02-2013

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

RE: good at welding? - ozonehostile - 07-02-2013

What car you looking into gearbox mounting a turbo on?

Oh and off topic, still haven't heard back from that guy with all the peugeot 505s Sad

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

well when i finally get time off work and get paid from the twats im gonna get my arse in gear with the 205 but im just a little concerned with the amount of room so just so be safe (and be a twat to show off a big turbo) im looking into going gearbox if i can

RE: good at welding? - ozonehostile - 07-02-2013

Ah cool, that would be muchos win

RE: good at welding? - Oil-burner - 07-02-2013

RE: good at welding? - the milkman - 07-02-2013

na either way its gonna get fixed up and if i dont get insured its gonna be a track slag for a year or two and im gonna get a hdi as daily then put back on the road after that Smile

RE: good at welding? - Oil-burner - 07-02-2013
