Looks deep, would need repainting/replacing. where on the car is it?

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 05-02-2013

Left wing, just beneath the passengers window mate Sad

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - puglove - 05-02-2013

Quarter panel?

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 05-02-2013

Yes mate just infront of the wheel arch

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - puglove - 06-02-2013

Yeah that will cost you mate prob need to have the panel resprayed the faded in across the front door. Not alot eles you do with it.

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - Jonny81191 - 06-02-2013

Ouch. Shame about that. Tidy example though.

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 06-02-2013

Cheers mate, gutted my gate post got involved though!

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - puglove - 06-02-2013

Yeah bit of a shitter that. Its theq one panel on a 3 door you dont wona hit as you cant just go down tje scrappy and get one the same colour

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 06-02-2013

Yeah apparently you can't take them off?

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 06-02-2013

Though apart from the scuff tis in pretty good nick, only 53k on the clock with fsh. Brand new disks and pads, had a knew exhaust too.

Not sure what I want to do to it yet but think I will start with some cyclones and lowering springs.. And possibly a dump valve if I win it on eBay, though think that may be abit chavy

My new 1.9 D turbo - MarkTD - 06-02-2013

Does it feel deep? You might be able o polish it out with some decent cutting compound.

Looks nice though

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - puglove - 06-02-2013

No its not a removable panel bud.

Dont dump valve it, it will make it slower as you will have to build the boost up again every time you change gear, facter in the lack of pressure and they sound like a very quite sneez

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 06-02-2013

Not sure how deep it feels yet mate did it last Sunday in the dark, as I was leaving for base so was in abit of a rush, but gonna try and polish it out first before I try anything more drastic... Though I'm not getting my hopes up :/

Yeah think my money would be better spent on the lowering springs, cheap too since there's only two to do, it's just the rear torsion I'm not to keen on touching!!

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - gurj306 - 07-02-2013

i say use a bit of G3 compound bit of T cut for the colour and a bit of polish after see how that goes looks good otherwise needs some lowss!!!!!!!!

My new 1.9 D turbo - Coopesh56 - 07-02-2013

Never heard of g3 compound, what's that? Coops

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - puglove - 07-02-2013

You can get it from halfords. Thry do a massive range of stuff . Its a company that supplie the trade but they are now doing like a public version. My mrs has a shed load of it really good stuff

RE: My new 1.9 D turbo - gurj306 - 09-02-2013

It should take out most of the scratches as long as it ain't to deep to apply get a damp rag apply the G3 just like wax on wax off hope this helps Smile
