[How to] Assemble triangulated rear axle PSA - fan2xud - 05-02-2013

** A solution to strengthen the rear of 306-ZX-Xsara is to use parts 206,605
see fit a front anti-roll bar 306,ZX or Xsara on the rear axle.
- Adapt arms 206 wagon, with the solution to the clip in the middle of the
beam 206 only break and then build a tab solid which takes on the fork or
yoke on the axis of the hubs, and manufacture of the bars a suitable length.

** Throughout this topic, measurements are expressed in millimeters, centimeters
and meters,grams and kilos.

- The usefulness of such an arrangement:

This is the day and night, you can take the curves faster faster and self
remains stable all the time (it turns flat).

- The tie rods are fixed to the cross and the supports made of brackets
rear brakes.

- We must extend the arm axis as the first photo and one enmancher tube as
shown in the second picture.

-- Spec7 & spec8 --

BTR screw is a screw screwed into the needle tube.
He had to cut the beam and remove a portion of each side to insert a custom
ring to be welded Namely it lets the anti-roll bar in the cross, then come
to this same ring mettrent two rotating rings (2 half-shells Teflon or
similar material because the bronze has the risk of oxidation on the long
therm and especially in your country.
These two rings are in the form of 2 half shells for mounting on which are
fixed respectively tie the halves left and right arms.

Then you can always extend the part that fits into the beam for increase
rigidity to the maximum.

Then for the bearings, the mounting method is simple which is why I left
halves of rings shells.

From what I draw ais one passes between the torsion bars without problems
taking into account the movement of the arm and pulling halves.
The rings will not come into abutment against the torsion bar should be
then pulling like spherical triangles Gr.N,Gr.A,,, (adjustable) of so as
to better adjust the position of the assembly at rest.

In summary you just cut the two crosses, remove a certain width,insert-
Sleeving the modified part instead in the beam and that reinforced rear
axle and several hundred € or £, and fun guaranteed,I test many times
Configs circuit 205 and on-track 306.
By cons, if you use bronze there is a risk of future major seizure...
capacity for self-lubricating bronze is very limited unlike Teflon.
This assembly is increasingly used since loan categories F2000 1 year
and a half here.

Mounting type "KRS" with the point of rotation on the axis of the arm,
the drawback is having to open the beam and the resolder thereafter.
The type assembly 206 or the pivot point is not quite in the center,it
is diverted away problem at the point of maximum rotation of the wheel.
Hence the arc during the movement is very small, some mounted 2 ball,
1 ball and other silentbloc 1 and other two mounts.
For fixing the bars on the more rigid is to make a triangle with 2 points
on the rear brake caliper then also on the damper.

Diagram how fast the edge, that's the general idea remains the ca Similarly,
it's just the link I mentioned between the cross and the room added.

-- Spec10 --

The practical difference between these methods is the outer rings of the
part forming part of the beam (so as to mount the press bearings or ball
joints put on the piece added).
The establishment of four screws to secure the beam and the room (plus
possibly a slight negative clearance between the cross and the part will
the effect of stiffening further the connection between the tie rods, the
halves arm and the main beam.
Assembly tested in real conditions of 306, rather very successful this test
for me knowing that the rear axle is a weak point of the 306.
The self-Directional absolutely must be deleted with such an arrangement.
Opt for four fixed rigid metal shims to make your perfect axle.

Now the config-spec your rear axle near perfection in therm efficiency and
safety.
Rest to make a ring that will fit on the bearing with a offset inside to
avoid the slip ring of the bearing.
On this ring requires a flat portion and another for receiving the threaded
screw tie rods ..

Will use to choose between flat or spherical bearing, since the force will
be carried over and direction of the force, he must think.
If we do not choose the right option between flat or spherical bearing evil
will quickly collect the physical constraints.
A tapered bearing (third option) already work in a better position, the ideal
will the ball eventually.
But will it take to find a tailor.
We therefore remain on the best mounting options mentioned above.

Problem lay not in a predictable worries thick bearing, which my final choice
for a ring custom made by a professional tens of €uros.
In the finality of things if we can screw elements rather than welded then it
is possible to produce rings in a single game (Billet) rather than 2 half
shells which had a risk of loosening over time.

-_-_-_-_ I would hope that this will necessarily help you. _-_-_-_-
