Wheel ET question again - Jukie88 - 04-02-2013

Ok so it's another wheel post by me would et30 on my hdi be too far in the arch to would it create some poke ?? As I really don't want to do any rear arch work, I may get a heat gun and roll it slightly but I don't want any cutting and welding going on :-( but I soooo want some dish or concave wheels

RE: Wheel ET question again - puglove - 04-02-2013

It would be sat a mile in the arch and it would rub like a bitch on the back, infact they prob wouldnt go round

On the back of the wheel that is

Theres a few things needed we need to know, wheel size (diameter and width) and the et. Also why size tyres you want to run and what ride height the car is. All of this will effect the fitment.

RE: Wheel ET question again - puglove - 04-02-2013

idealy youd need between ET0 & 15 for 8j to 9j to get a bit of poke

Running strectched tyres

Wheel ET question again - Jukie88 - 04-02-2013

Ahhhhh right ok the wheels are 15" et30 and I'd probably run a fairly low profile 40 maybe the car is lowered 60mm at the front and is about 2 inches of the bump atop at the back really don't know how low it is at the rear

RE: Wheel ET question again - puglove - 04-02-2013

what J are they/ you want?

Wheel ET question again - Jukie88 - 04-02-2013

7/7.5 I don't really want anything that's going to need my rear arches cut and welded as mines a 5 door

RE: Wheel ET question again - Just Sean - 04-02-2013

Mine are et30 and 6j and only just get away with it on the back

RE: Wheel ET question again - puglove - 04-02-2013

Prob be best off with an ET0 with a 195 tyre, at your current hight

Stick some 15mm spacers on and theyll be bang on!
40 profile tyres will look tiny on a 306, even 45s look a bit daft imho

Wheel ET question again - Jukie88 - 04-02-2013

195 was rubbing like fook on the back I've had to go for 175 to miss the rear arch :-( would probs get away with 185

RE: Wheel ET question again - Slam Wagon - 04-02-2013

Wouldnt want any less than et0 for sure

Sean 20mm spacer, you know it makes sence! the spigot ring a 72mm? if so i have 3 hubcentric spacers and a full set of extended bolts

Wheel ET question again - Jukie88 - 04-02-2013

Less that et0 So the higher the number the further in the arch itl sit ??

RE: Wheel ET question again - puglove - 04-02-2013

ET0 will give you more poke than ET30,

If you need more poke than ET0 you go the ET-10 and if you need more poke ET-20 get the order now?

I've got 2 x hubcentrics 20mm ATM but the bolts are too small!

What you doing at weekend?

RE: Wheel ET question again - Slam Wagon - 04-02-2013

Have a look on google for info on wheel offset. Its basically the difference between the centre of the wheel and where the face is that bolts to the hub. So et0 means the face is on the centre of the wheel and on an 8j wheel you will have 4 inches out and 4 inches in from the hub. Et30 will move the wheel into the arch 30mm, et-20 will move it out 20mm etc.

By adding spacers to the back of the wheel you move the point that it bolts to the hub down, so reducing the the et.
