The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 What to get next I've decided that in may my fiesta st is goin I'm bites of it and things are starting to go wrong I've narrowed down my next car to 4 choices 1) Honda civic type r (ek9) 2) integra type r (dc2) 3) s2000 original model 4) Nissan s15 spec r Now there was going to be a vw golf mk2 rallye g60 on that list but I want toget jap out of my system first and these are the only cars il be choosing from ...............discuss RE: The next toy - Tom - 31-01-2013 S15 The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 I was all about the integra but I've fallen back in love with the s15 although I haven't driven any of these cars yet so I dunno what I'll choose but ATM I'm more towards the spec r s15 RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 Big fan of the EK9 myself RE: The next toy - Tom - 31-01-2013 Only problem with an ek9 type r is they're silly money for an old car... Atleast if you get an s15 you'll have boost to play with :p The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 I'm happy with the spec s s15 if there's no spec r's about I'll have about 6/7k to play with ideally , yeah that's true the one I've seen is 6450 with 88k on-the clock but and this is a must for me it hasto be imported all the ones I've looked at so far have been imported and those jap lads spend alot ....ALOT of money on aftermarket parts so buying the ek9 for 6450 with another 4k worth of spoon parts really isn't bad lol an they tend to have immaculate service histories and haven't been ruined by a Brit lol RE: The next toy - Tom - 31-01-2013 Not considered an ep3 ctr? Could get a really nice one for you budget... You'd still get vtec noise but more modern everything else? RE: The next toy - C.A.R. - 31-01-2013 At 6/7k I would be looking to move on from FWD hot hatches, which basically rules out the Integra and EK9. These are good on Gran Turismo but I suspect the reality of living with an old Honda is far from ideal. I like the S14 and S15, but will you get a decent S15 in your budget? The really nice ones appear to be around 9/10k. Also, what is it like getting hold of spare parts? The interiors are a bit low-rent too... I'm a sucker for Mazda RX-7s, but they do have a rough reliability record. I would be looking for a proper, bona-fide sports car... The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 I did look at rx7 but ..... The insurance is absolutely out of this world and ie seen two absolutely mint s15 for around my budget from a local importer, I just want something Japanese before I go back to VAG itl be my second car so won't get used untill summer or my days off I have the hdi for work and day to day workhorse stuff I just want something specifically to take to shows and have some twat laps in lol issue is there is a few integras in Plymouth I've seen 1 ek9 and the ammount of ep3's about jesus Christ there is a jdm ep3 at this importer I like in championship white all jdm spec with the 220 bhp engine but I just don't like the front end it horrible RE: The next toy - Just Sean - 31-01-2013 DC2 all day long!! The next toy - Stephen - 31-01-2013 S15s are lush. What about a skyline? RE: The next toy - r3k1355 - 31-01-2013 Integra for epic handling and screaming VTEC noise. S15 for sliding around with a grin on your face. RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 to be fair if your not after a hatch then yes something jap but powerful which can only mean s15 RE: The next toy - puglove - 31-01-2013 Personaly id have the EK type R RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 but can i just draw the old nissan 300zx to your attention The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 300zx are a tank I'd end up ripping half it off in the lanes where I live lol I'm still favouring the teggy and s15 I've looked into skyline but I want the 32 I don't like any of the others :-( The next toy - Jake - 31-01-2013 Has to be the s15! RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 but 300zx are manly and even you gotta admit they are porn!! not looking in to prices though tbh so could factor in RE: The next toy - 1616six - 31-01-2013 Vectra.. /closethread The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 I would probably prefer to set one alight and bask in its warmth than spend actual money on one The next toy - Jake - 31-01-2013 What about an EVO? RE: The next toy - C.A.R. - 31-01-2013 (31-01-2013, 12:54 PM)Jake Wrote: What about an EVO? This was my thought process when you mentioned country roads / B roads. Not much can touch them! Either that or a 2-door Scoob... P1 RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 id take an evo over a scooby anyday!! dont know why theres just something about the evo's that give them an edge if you ask me RE: The next toy - Tom - 31-01-2013 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-type-r-2-door-coupe-jdm-/170982034269?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27cf52cb5d Been watching that one for a while. Been on ebay twice, bet he'd take 7k if you waved it in his face... RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 but tom its just not quite this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mitsubishi-evo-8-fq300-/170982999724?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27cf6186ac&_uhb=1 RE: The next toy - Toms306 - 31-01-2013 S2K for me.....not practical at all, but awesome for a 2nd car! Scoobys and Evos are both a bit over the top and showy imo. RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 hmmmm i dunno i love the s2000 but it reminds me abit more of a middle age mans car i.e 30-45 years old ish RE: The next toy - Toms306 - 31-01-2013 (31-01-2013, 02:28 PM)the milkman Wrote: hmmmm i dunno i love the s2000 but it reminds me abit more of a middle age mans car i.e 30-45 years old ish Thats probably whyI prefer them then! RE: The next toy - the milkman - 31-01-2013 well there you go ive cracked it The next toy - Jukie88 - 31-01-2013 Evos and subarus are a no go insurance is too much So's the running cost tax etc but most of all they are all over the place down here common as muck an s2000 would be lush lol whatever I get I intend coilovers and some jdm dish of some sort or some concave wheels not gunna tune it or map it othe than wheels and suspension theyvarr staying standard |
