gti6 suspension on a hdi - wibbz - 23-01-2013 hi all is there any difference in the suspension of a gti6 and a hdi and would i benefit from putting the suspension off the 6 onto my hdi RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - Birk - 23-01-2013 The dturbo hdi suspension is apparently the same, but I never felt it on my cars. It will be the best stiffest standard setup your going to get really. Do it! You think how many times the suspension has been replaced at a motor factors, there will only be the arbs that are original. I say get gti parts if the part numbers are different. RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - wibbz - 23-01-2013 thanks for advice i have 3 sets of suspension of 6s we have broke i will look through them tomoz RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - MiiTCH - 24-01-2013 Would the GTI suspension feel stiffer on the XS model? Again apparently the ph3 XS's are gti spec'd suspention RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - londondan86 - 30-01-2013 I always thought that as the '6 lump was heavier if you put '6 suspension on other models the front will be slightly raised, but I could be thinking about lowering springs.... RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - puglove - 31-01-2013 Your talking about springs. Wer talking about shocks ARBs etc RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - Toms306 - 31-01-2013 I've got GTi shocks with 35mm eibach lowering springs on my HDi....its more uncomfortable than meridian shocks. Does handle a little better but I cant say whether thats the shocks or the springs making the difference. RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - puglove - 31-01-2013 But hdi Dturbo shocks would be the same tomo RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - Toms306 - 31-01-2013 Indeed but the OP didn't specify if it was a DTurbo or not and I can't see from his avatar. RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - puglove - 31-01-2013 Good point mate but he does own a dturbo hdi so it would be pointless for him to change anything usless the parts were massivly lower mileage. RE: gti6 suspension on a hdi - Toms306 - 31-01-2013 Ah ok, fair enough then. |
