RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - Dean - 12-02-2014 I'd keep that C2 VTS manifold if you're boosting. The plastic one will explode with amusement with boost ![]() I was on the look out for one for a while up north, but they go for sub £250 as quite a few northerners are boosting 106's. And IIRC the 172 injectors have a bigger spray pattern, and are ideal for boost unless you want to fork out for some new shiny 600cc ones. And for rust check under fuse box + Ecu tray as thats a common place for rot on 106's if they havn't had arch liners on. RE: S1 106 rallye. Yours the black 306 Rallye? Jage's got your old 106, my mate Bev was thinking of having it. RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - Matt-Rallye - 13-02-2014 Yep i know wayne and ryan very well ![]() Yep mines the black 306 Rallye and i know Jage but he has never had any cars off me. Kelvins current 53 plate saxo VTS is one of my old ones though. RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - Pugmarshall - 13-02-2014 Who's was Jage's black S1 Rallye then? I heard it came from one of Calvin's mates... Seen your Rallye about before, it's lovely ![]() RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - ezb - 21-02-2014 looks slightly worse for wear than mine haha, hows the boot holding up? next job on mine is behind the headlights and tidy the boot ![]() RE: S1 106 rallye. The boot floor is pretty good which I was happy about, notorious 106 spot and all that, the exhaust hangars are barely attached anymore though, what I thought were knackered rubbers is actually the metal moving :-\ Ah well, it's getting sorted :-) RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - Dum-Dum - 21-02-2014 Yeah, any time I think my 306 might be a bit rusty I remember my 106. 106s rust baaaaaaaaaaadddddddddd. RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - ADV_93 - 22-02-2014 Holy shit i miss my S1 106! Epic handling car! Was considering buying a 106 XSi again after the Tubby, but ended up buying a W124 instead. Did a bit of info into these when i had mine and the rallye engines can hold some power tbf, most i saw was 130 bhp on stock, but the shorter ratio boxes and lightness meant it'd beat almost anything in a straight line... And the corners. RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - ozonehostile - 22-02-2014 I can't wait to drive my rallye with all new suspension and brakes, It had almost physics defying cornering before I took it off the road and that was with almost everything knackered! I really want to buy another rallye in complete original condition just to keep as a minter lol. Also quite a big fan of the little 1.3 engine, they rev higher standard than the 16v! But yeah, they don't half bloody rust :-( RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - Piggy - 22-02-2014 Those 1.3s are a peach...just over 100bhp iirc and rev to over 8000rpm....awesome RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - RetroPug - 22-02-2014 Yeah really want one as well. Looking good! RE: S1 106 rallye. Restoration time! - ezb - 23-02-2014 buy mine ![]() ![]() RE: S1 106 rallye.
