RE: Hunter continued.... - ginge191 - 11-12-2012

poor car; more broken parts... Sad

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 11-12-2012

I knowSad If only the previous owner had fitted fuel rated leak off pipe... ;D

RE: Hunter continued.... - ginge191 - 11-12-2012

....were recommended and fitted by KrisB; i doubt youd question his professionality.

I also changed them just before selling the car as a huge round trip on veg had eaten parts of the lines.

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 11-12-2012

Well the ones you put on were shit..... Haha Smile

All downhill from there....

RE: Hunter continued.... - ginge191 - 11-12-2012

...once again; recommended by KrisB; i take his word for it. And if i remember correctly, CPellowe is also running the same on his. Dont quote me, but remember a while back linking them. So yeh, MINE wern't shit, i'm assuming whatever fuel you're running could be perhaps to blame.

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 23-12-2012

So yeh um had a few issues the other day...
That sort of forced me into changing it:/ Cue all this mess:
And then a new shiney Smile
[Image: 20121221_181653.jpg]
Old one was full of this:

And now the blowers dont work anymore Smile But i do have heat.

Does anyone read this anymore?

RE: Hunter continued.... - wiggy - 26-12-2012

My foot wells stared filling up with water but still got heat, could this be door seals?

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 26-12-2012

Door seals, windscreen seals, aerial hole... could be all sorts mate lol

RE: Hunter continued.... - Atterz - 26-12-2012

Could be sunroof drain offs as well. lmao at the bitchyness about fuel etc. Rather odd!

Love Sigmas, gutted i had to get rid of mine!

Yeah but I remember chatting to you about them, mine went brittle and tbh i'm questioning the suitability of the braided stuff on veg. Might well be fine for diesel, but veg melts stuff.

I'll be replacing my lines soon as a preventative measure, already had the injector return line pop off as it went brittle, not overly confident in them.

RE: Hunter continued.... - wiggy - 27-12-2012

Oh right, thanks guys, best get bussy with silicon! Lol

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 27-12-2012

Yes i need to aswell... The whole front half of the headlining is wet, all that water is running down the windscreen (i hate having a dirty windscreen) and i also have a leak that drips out the interior light Sad

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 30-12-2012

New exhaust!

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 02-01-2013

Needs some fine tuning but it'll do Smile

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 03-01-2013

This is more of a life update but o well.

I drove a '6 today and thought it was shit lol. Foot flat and it was well, flat as piss. I enjoyed it at 6000+rpm but thats it.

Saying that though if i could afford one i would want to own one for a while just because of the cool noise it made.

Re: Hunter continued.... - Dan! - 03-01-2013

Thats the difference between a petrol and a diesel. I thought my mx5 was slow at first, going round roundabouts in 4th and then trying to accelerate away in 4th - nothing! Gotta drop gears and get it in the powerband to go anywhere quickly. Not bad once you get used to it, but diesels are nicer to drive when you just mash your foot in any gear and it pulls hard from 2k+

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 03-01-2013

Its hell of a difference really, great fun dropping from 6th to 3rd and giving it a good ragging up to the limiter in the gears though!

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 07-01-2013

Washed the car this evening, and also decided to address the flickery LED's.. Swapped them out with some normal bulbs, went all o'natural!
I really like it Smile

RE: Hunter continued.... - 4WayDiablo - 07-01-2013

Looks like you have had a lot of troubles haha well held though
New exhaust looks good

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 07-01-2013

I do like the bugger, theres been times where i've just thought had enough going on ebay, but i seem to be trouble free atm *toucheswood*

RE: Hunter continued.... - cwspellowe - 07-01-2013

I'll be going for normal bulbs again after realising that the LED's only light up about three letters of the numberplate, looks wank and people think you're a chav from a mile off

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 07-01-2013

I must admit i think the bulbs look better.

Thats like currency in the engineering department! Wink

RE: Hunter continued.... - strictly_perv - 10-01-2013

Looks a good build, lucky to have access to all that equipment most have to just use shitty hand drills and hammers Dodgy

RE: Hunter continued.... - Tom - 10-01-2013

Its my old college just went back and started talking with some dohnuts and within 5 minutes he said go get your bits and lets have a look then! Conveniently it was all in the car already Wink
