Unless it just feels faster on the floor in buckets lol. I'd imagine they're roughly the same power at as well. Lol, angels were nice, but worth more than crystals. Might try masks, probably not though tbf, cant stand the lights misting up and I'd never seal them properly. Its definitely not stock but looks like the sort of power you get from an SP Tuning or Celtic map..... RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - mcglynn - 02-04-2014 the stage 1's ive uploaded for JP definately don't look this slow. you should be looking at around 7-8 seconds RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 02-04-2014 (02-04-2014, 08:36 PM)jammapic Wrote: Stage 1, you sure? I'm sure my estate felt quicker tbh, but difficult to guage as I've had other cars in between. I did think about a S1+ as you know but think that would just be tempting fate at this kind of mileage lol. I'll have to check the ECU number, may even have some other maps from previous cars with the same number to try. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - C2K - 02-04-2014 Remember the mileage of this engine gents, plus I requested a lower output for both clutch and smoke reasons. This car actually did the mileage it was designed for, not spending it's days on axle stands like half this site. It was used for a daily 120 mile round trip and reliability was paramount. It has been mapped for about 5 years including time standing. The injectors are also tired. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - mcglynn - 02-04-2014 Lol dont get defensive nobody is having a personal dig at ypu/your previous car bud. Mine is stage 2 and sees 500 mile a week maybe more regularly, including a lot of abuse and is pretty reliable, with the usual electrical gremlins having shown their face. A stage 1 map IMO is really doubtful to hamper reliability. Tired injectors will hamper performance though. It was even obvious on my 90 map. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 02-04-2014 Will the injectors make that much difference then? I was gonna swap in the set from the 126k HDi that I broke, but looked like they were leaking tbh so didn't bother. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - mcglynn - 02-04-2014 well in my standard form car i had bad/ticky injectors & the car was SOO slow to rev. I fitted low mileage & ultrasonically cleaned 076 injectors and it made night and day difference to the car even at 90bhp. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 02-04-2014 Hmm, might look into getting a set then. Price dependant lol. The ones on the estate are surprisingly clean/dry but they've done 170k ish so probably no better lol. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - mcglynn - 03-04-2014 If they tick then not much point but if not then id switch them RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - C.A.R. - 03-04-2014 Mine tick like buggery, interested to see what the costs are if you look into it Tom. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - mcglynn - 03-04-2014 I paid £70 for mine, have pictures in my project thread they were in pretty damn decent nick lol. The washers are usually £5-6 and are a nevessary replacement when doing injectors too as you probably know. Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - devils_fuel - 03-04-2014 Can't dan! Service them do less? If he is still about? RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 03-04-2014 Dan doesn't work in that place any more, but refurbing them costs a lot more than that anyway iirc. Think Cully had a set refurbed. Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - devils_fuel - 03-04-2014 Oh dumber RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 03-04-2014 Anywho.... Much better height now! Supposed to be VTS struts but are stamped 'Peugeot' so possibly GTi6, no idea lol. 25-30mm difference straight away, not sure if they'll settle any more or not. Surprising how much better it looks overall, wheel sits nicely in the arch, as opposed to looking like they had an argument. Also looked for ECU number, typical, different to every other HDi I've mapped! Re: RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - kentiiboii - 03-04-2014 (03-04-2014, 06:32 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Anywho.... I can't quote remember RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 03-04-2014 Its odd as I've had 3 X reg ones but this different again! RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Poodle - 04-04-2014 551 is one of the rarer one's too, doing well there Tom. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 04-04-2014 (04-04-2014, 05:38 AM)Poodle Wrote: 551 is one of the rarer one's too, doing well there Tom. Just my luck eh?! Cant even swap the ECU and BSi from the other car as it was single plug. Guess it'll be staying as it is then lol. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 04-04-2014 Hmm, not doing so bad on fuel as I thought... 88 miles to a tenner, 54mpg. Better than the 1.8 thankfully! RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - puglove - 04-04-2014 Looks much better now tom, Thats how it should of came from factory. As for the MPGz i struggled to ever get the estate into the 40s let alone 50s so that cant be bad RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 04-04-2014 I'm not even trying to get good mpg tbh, was only calculated over a tenners worth (but brim to brim) though, so may not be totally accurate. Used to average 50mpg in the estate, so yours was probably broken lol. RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - puglove - 04-04-2014 Or i just have a massively heavy foot all the time RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 04-04-2014 Wouldn't think it's that, I still drive like I'm in the 1.8! Though I maintain speed everywhere, rather than using that pointless, fuel wasting, pedal in the middle.... RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - Toms306 - 07-04-2014 So replaced injectors with low mileage 076 ones and.....it seems worse tbh. Actually had to give up and pull back in trying to do an overtake which even the slow 1.8 would've done with ease earlier! It's not like there's any mid range torque either, at 60 in 5th on a downhill slip road put my foot down and took forever to hit 70! Not sure if I've f*cked something tbh. Heres another 30-70, if you can stay awake long enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD82o4Yu4pI RE: Tom's China HDi DTurbo 2014 - powerandtorque - 07-04-2014 That's pretty bad! Were they known good injectors that you or somone you trust saw running or were they effectively unknown purchased off an eBay or similar? |
