RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 ever since I got it, its used water, and its gradually got worse, also, with the rad cap on it pressures up, and its now started going to 95c, and the heaters go cold, it did this last time when the thermostat died, so I put a new one in and it sorted it, but I have to top the rad up every 2-3 days with a kettle full of water.. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Teddy - 05-02-2014 Head gasket ? RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 sounds like it ted, why else would it pressure up?? its had a brand new matrix too, so cant be that, temps almost always 95c. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Anton - 05-02-2014 Been worse since the GT20 fitted? RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Teddy - 05-02-2014 Could be a crack in head RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 GT20 isn't fitted anton. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Chris_90 - 05-02-2014 The gt20 will defo finish it off that's for sure if you fit it that is, get headgasket done first ![]() RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 f*ck ARP headstuds, I know one or two people running a gt20, with normal headbolts ![]() RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Anton - 05-02-2014 Who Padge? RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 I cant remember who it was, but its someone on here for deffo, seen them say there using normal valeo and normal headbolts. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Anton - 05-02-2014 Hmmm not sure who that is then. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 think it was ricky? also did chris with the estate and 2056 run arp or not? RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Anton - 05-02-2014 Ahhh yeah I think so actually. But afaik it was only ever running low boost and possibly not set up right. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 think he got it running 25psi, he tried at 30 for a few times but the turbo kept popping, ill be happy with 25psi tbh. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - sam - 05-02-2014 Ahh man not good news dude, Hopefully an easy fix chap, RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Danny2009 - 05-02-2014 Sounds like gasket mate mine was doing it :/ RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 thinking same danny. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Piggy - 05-02-2014 Im running gt2056 with std studs n valeo... 1.5bar n only issue is turbo flutter from crappy standard inlet/exhaust mani n head...been at that for a good 4k N yea, sounds like HG RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 looks like a sneaky rebuild then... RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Danny2009 - 05-02-2014 Not take long to do RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 05-02-2014 does when you have about 70p to your name lol. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Danny2009 - 05-02-2014 Yea that could slow you down a bit like :/ RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Tom - 06-02-2014 Weilding the spanners costs you nothing... RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 06-02-2014 Parts cost though, anyway.. Removed thermostat and put the rad cap back on, and it runs fine now, no pressure or high temp, put the 5 week old thermostat in some boiling water and it did nothing! so looks like new thermostat is needed. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Tom - 06-02-2014 Hahahaha piece of shit!! Thats a good result to be fair ![]() RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 06-02-2014 Yeah, im still gathering bits for a rebuild though ![]() RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 10-02-2014 Well put a new thermostat in and rad cap back on and it goes straight to 90-95c cold heaters and pressures up.. Bianca xud GT20 - Sambarker - 10-02-2014 Thermostat out again then! They sell 12v heaters at halfords!
