sadly for me, the new shell I have, is in the same boat as my f*cking gta was. the mot tester says its 200 times better. Really? so why the f*ck has the floors now got holes in and the driver side sill? the gta wasn't as bad as that ffs.

That's not good mate. Ano I was really lucky but there's always something that comes up. Seen a metro on Facebook other day £150 and it was mint in silver. Not got you on Facebook or would have tagged you in it.

I am lucky in a few ways with parts, sadly I am at a total stand still with mine now ffs! No working welder, and I need to pay off my parents sadly.

looking good there! I thought you would put the full panel in, as it would made the repair easier and better.

I have had a right f*ck on for panels for mine!

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 16-12-2014

I've sealed it all already. Panels hard to get for you?

getting very tricky to get hold of now, as they have stopped making repair panels. The ones that are about have shot up in price!

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 18-12-2014

Only thing I could suggest is find some at breakers yards or ones being broken on ebay

looking good, are you planning for the car to be on the road next year?

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 22-12-2014

If all goes well yeah ?

Also thinking when it's done to get rid. Want a Sierra cosworth ?

RE: It's a ford - procta - 23-12-2014

hang on and enjoy this 1st, be a shame to get shot after you have spent so much time on it and money. Get some of your moneys worth out of it. If you want to be really cute, then why don't you cosworth this? be a proper mean machine!

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 23-12-2014

Haven't hardly spend any money on it lol. Just hours I've done

RE: It's a ford - procta - 03-01-2015

looking great, you wouldn't think it had a replacement piece!

RE: It's a ford - PUGNUT_XS - 04-01-2015

I love this project. I know it's a xr3 but have you thought about going the whole way and building a S1 turbo replica?

I would swap my 306 in a heartbeat for a S1 turbo

Keep up the good work

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 05-01-2015

I have but if I did or do it will be a sleeper. Hard to find a s1 cheap now. Cheers Procta ?

RE: It's a ford - PUGNUT_XS - 05-01-2015

I was looking at S1's before I got my Pug and at 4k for a shagged one I gave up looking. Saw a fully restored non custom S1 for 10k

Could kick myself as I had the chance to by a B plate non custom in 1998 for £900 but didn't as it needed fully restoring

RE: It's a ford - procta - 16-01-2016

not sure on the paint sadly

RE: It's a ford - 1616six - 17-01-2016

Why spend all that time to then ruin it with a shit paint job? A nice original red/white would've looked awesome!

RE: It's a ford - 306carter - 17-01-2016

Cracking work with the welding but personally I'd keep it silver. Like others have said seems a bit of a waste.
