Take the seat out and it's 4 bolts holding it in. Easy.

RE: Nialls GTi6 - rocker8742 - 31-07-2012

Blue carpet will look epic! Love the old S16 interior, very 90s haha!

I'm cracking out the Numatic carpet cleaner next weekend fingers crossed, should bring my carpets up a treat. You're welcome to use it but I think it's a bit far to come...

Nope engine bay is still a state. That's low down on my list.
Need some better tyres. T1rs just don't cut it. Thinking Michelin pilots.

RE: Nialls GTi6 - Scott - 06-08-2012

That's awesome! I'm wondering if some Rain-X would help keep the casing clear for filming in the rain/wet weather. Let's face, you'll need it for when you're driving over here, but other than that if you're thinking of using it as a helmet cam while surfing or waterskiing, you'll need to sort that out Smile

RE: Nialls GTi6 - Grant - 06-08-2012

Rainex is a good shout Scott!
I did take a video last night on te side of my car, slightly offensive and with tyres squealing more than a sexually assaulted pig. 'twas dry then and pretty win. Lucky I have that airstrip down the road really...

Jonny, feel free to borrow it mate.

RE: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 06-08-2012

I think rainX might make it worse. I have it in the screen wash in the skoda and it leaves lines of water instead of blobs. Great for driving where you have a big windscreen but on such a small surface, might not work too well.

When we organize a pimp Johnny's ride day eh nial? , I'll supply the Barby you can stick it on an ill take you out

RE: Nialls GTi6 - Scott - 06-08-2012

It doesn't work so well in the screen wash though as that's not a proper application Wink You're supposed to clay the windscreen first and give it a proper clean. There's a guide on here somewhere about it actually, but I think if you did a proper job it would come up a treat!

RE: Nialls GTi6 - Grant - 06-08-2012

LMAO claying my camera lense...

I just ordered a floaty backdoor (giddety) so watch this space for some videos of water-skiing from this weekend...

Even more worryingly they do a wrist strap. Could add an interesting new perspective...

Now that's a vid you can keep to yourself lol

RE: Nialls GTi6 - Niall - 18-08-2012

Haven't really done much for a while. Money went on the bike this month but that's finished now so usual spending on stuff I don't need is resumed!

My ripp strut brace arrived today. Got it painted

(china was the only colour I had left in the shed. I'm not that much of a tart to colour code it)

And a whoring photo because we all know that china is beautiful in the sun!
Oh and then I promptly dropped it and ruined the finish. Not that I'm fussed. It's only to protect it.

Was an absolute bastard to fit. The holes were about 3mm too close together so had to get the grinder out and widen them slightly. Don't know if that's because my sub frame is fooked or what but its on now.
Drives epically now. The front feels so solid going into a corner and the lift off over steer now is absolutely immense! It's made an unreal difference and can't wait for my top one.

Also got my new air con pipe fitted. Tbh I cant see any real damage to the old one but at least I know this ones good now! Will be getting someone out to pressure test it payday.
