RE: 205 Hdi - Paul_13 - 04-01-2015 Fitment wise yes. Use exactly the same mounting points on all three mounts. Swap the lever over on the gearbox and you use the 205 gear linkages. He should of just used a gti subframe RE: 205 Hdi - procta - 04-01-2015 (04-01-2015, 07:34 PM)Paul_13 Wrote: Fitment wise yes. what about the electrical side of things? i can see why diesel geek used the 306 full car loom for more plug and play electrical wise. RE: 205 Hdi - cully - 04-01-2015 engine loom would be easyaly doable with an unlocked ecu would be almost the same as grafting a gti6 loom in the 205 RE: 205 Hdi - procta - 04-01-2015 is there much info on this type of conversion? RE: 205 Hdi - cully - 04-01-2015 loads on google just search http://205gtishop.moonfruit.com/gti-6-conversion/4570113521 RE: 205 Hdi - cheesegrater - 04-01-2015 With the lack of response from OP I can only assume he took the car for a test drive. RE: 205 Hdi - Paul_13 - 04-01-2015 Ha maybe It would be very similar to a 6 loom conversion on a 205 RE: 205 Hdi - welshpug - 04-01-2015 indeed, I've seen two conversions before, one was into a Laser green gti, using gti shafts and subframe. as mentioned, wiring wise it will be exactly like doing any other engine management conversion into the 205, no need to touch the dashboard whatsoever. As people are very tight lipped with the wiring side of things, and that's just for starters! If I were to do an engine conversion into another car again, I will be wanting to see a one done and up and running again. RE: 205 Hdi - 1616six - 05-01-2015 I have a funny feeling OP won't be seen again, has gone 'hidden' so is probably hiding with embarrassment.
