When i clean it it shows up all the damage lol RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Toms306 - 02-06-2014 That's always the problem with cleaning older cars! Im exactly the same lol, just get frustrated by all the dings and scratches that it accentuates! As for the engine bay, I've been jetwashing bays for years without causing any problems so far lol, don't even bother covering anything. RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 08-07-2014 Small update - insurance renewal came through, hadn't removed the previous named driver, saved myself £150 on annual policy! Going to try and get another wash and wax on this before pugfest, fingers crossed the weather backs off a bit. RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Eeyore - 08-07-2014 Looks very clean mate. good work. See you at pugggffeessttt! RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 08-07-2014 (08-07-2014, 04:37 PM)SRowell Wrote: Looks very clean mate. good work. See you at pugggffeessttt! Cheers mate! will be good to catch up! RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 14-07-2014 After an amazing weekend at pugfest, with a round trip of just under 300 miles, the '6 was absolutely faultless! very impressed with the combined mpg also. Think i've averaged about 30mpg including the track blasts! Also picked up my gear linkages (cheers grant xxxxx) and fit them today, fairly simple job once the battery box etc was out the way, makes life hell of a lot easier! After seeing a few charged '6s at pugfest, the idea of TC'ing has become ever more tempting... it's whether to really go for it instead of tapping around the idea credits to cully, dumdum and misswoop for the photos RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - puglove - 14-07-2014 do it ginge , somthing like this should put a smile on your face RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Niall - 14-07-2014 (14-07-2014, 02:31 PM)puglove Wrote: do it ginge , somthing like this should put a smile on your face Nah I've seen photos of him before and i think he's related to Chris because he has a tiny penis. Doubt it will put a smile on Steves face at all! Car looked good this weekend mate. Just a shame about that blowing exhaust lol RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - puglove - 14-07-2014 (14-07-2014, 02:32 PM)Niall Wrote:(14-07-2014, 02:31 PM)puglove Wrote: do it ginge , somthing like this should put a smile on your face Naaa iv heard ginge is a grate believe in " its not about the size its what you do with it " RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 14-07-2014 (14-07-2014, 02:32 PM)Niall Wrote: Car looked goodthis weekend mate. Just a shame about that blowing exhaust lol Meh, excuse for an upgrade Say what you want guys, Rolf told me it was perfect RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 12-03-2015 Havnt updated in a while so thought I'd throw something in! Car has a fresh MOT: passed first time. Fitted new track rods and track rod ends; sorting the tracking this weekend Fitted OE splitter as for some reason it was removed when I bought the car Got an e-tech upper strut brace fitted Decat onto standard exhaust fitted and a new set of baker bm gear linkages. Apart from that; it's rubbing true and sweet. Pulls and sounds awesome. Fitting new droplinks this weekend, will get some pictures then RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Grant - 12-03-2015 Awesome stuff mate. Will this be making an appearance, alongside its owner, at the shows this year? RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 13-03-2015 (12-03-2015, 08:38 PM)Grant Wrote: Awesome stuff mate. Will this be making an appearance, alongside its owner, at the shows this year? Most definitely mate FCS and pugfest for sure. Got tracking done today and the car now drives at '60mph' with no wobbling at all! With the decat, popping and banging is just delightful at the moment RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 25-03-2015 Not boring with pictures but stubborn drop links got changed and found out that my O/S CV boot is split. Again... why the hell has this boot only lasted 9 months?! annoying. so ordered new boot and change that next week in between working on a 2.8 Pajero also RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Niall - 25-03-2015 How low is the front of it mate? No obscure noises coming from that CV? RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 25-03-2015 (25-03-2015, 09:41 PM)Niall Wrote: How low is the front of it mate? No obscure noises coming from that CV? Nope. it's standard height all round. And no unusual noise; only noise i get is cornering HARD on N/S, which is likely a bearing from the faint groan i here with a window down and music off. The actual boot is splitting on the folds. It's split in two places on the boot itself... RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 18-04-2015 Car received a meguiars treatment today with a tar treatment also, removing a lot of imperfections and bringing the paint up somewhat, followed by rainx treatment on the windows. Excuse the huge photos and feel free to comment/criticise the buffing, first few times polishing the car by hand. It's by no way perfect, and frustrates me the amount of stone chips the front receives, but can't be helped I guess. RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Dum-Dum - 18-04-2015 Needs crystalls, I have a set if your interested but you might need a twin optic stalk if you don't already have one. It's a phase 2 and will stay a phase 2 unfortunately ; everyone fits crystal headlights and fogs, not many people have a standard phase 2 RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - Toms306 - 18-04-2015 Yes...those faded grey rub strips and frosted lights look so much better than phase 3...can't imagine why people usually change them. The paintwork doesn't look bad tbf though!
