You deserve 3 points and the £60 fine.

x2, how much grip and water displacement do you think that tyre will offer you in wet weather? None at all. Idiotic is an understatement.

Re: Racing slicks FTL - declantg - 26-02-2012

Jeez stirred up a hornets nest here.

The tyre was sorted straight away.....

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Rippthrough - 26-02-2012

Well yes, but it should never have got close to that to start with.
You got a front shock absorber gone or just tracking massively out?

RE: Racing slicks FTL - declantg - 26-02-2012

Am having a look tomorrow bud

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Foxy-jim - 26-02-2012

Even though it was still changed straight away, which a lot of people wouldn't have done, how long we're you driving round on it like that? You don't know. Could have been hundreds of miles.

I'm not having a go, just don't understand how you couldn't see your tyre was bold? Haha.

Re: Racing slicks FTL - 1616six - 26-02-2012

I'm shocked :o considering you had them off me a week before the Xmas meet & they all had well over 6mm on them! Wtf you done to em? :o

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Dum-Dum - 26-02-2012

Weekly Check FTW

(dosent everyone?)

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Moonstone2.0 - 26-02-2012

The more I check, the more things start falling off.....

but I know the levels of my tyre tread

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Dan! - 26-02-2012

Do I have to repeat myself?! lol

Is one of the wheels still buckled slightly? If so, was it the wheel that this bald tyre was on? Smile

Friend of mines Polo... Proof that VWs are shit even when you slam them on the floor...

Camber y0?

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Ian - 26-02-2012

Wow, that's bad

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Midnightclub - 26-02-2012

Not as bad as a VW transported i saw where i used to work.. it didn't have the right tyres on and the whole inside edge disappeared and the steel wires were all sticking out

Re: Racing slicks FTL - Foxy-jim - 26-02-2012

That happened on my mates polo too he rubbed the inside of the wheel and cut his hand to pieces!

Re: Racing slicks FTL - THE_Liam - 26-02-2012

My Skoda came with 2 shitty budgets on the front, brand new for the MOT. I don't like the idea of budgets on a FWD car with 210 bhp so I thought I'd give them some stick and kill them before the remap gets done...

Gone from brand new to 4mm in 5 weeks and 1800 miles! :o

Re: Racing slicks FTL - 4WayDiablo - 28-02-2012

I need to get one of mine replaced :-(
