Well that's it for the astor! After fcs it's being sold as I've lost the love for it now, going to be buying a lexus and saving for a 309 goodwood, my mate will hopefully be buying it its a sad time but after taking the comps off it just wasn't the same anymore
Plus I need a break from French for a while, I'll still be around on the forum and local meets etc

What Lexus you getting? I looked at a IS200 a few years back. Test drove it and even for their base model car, it was such a lovely thing to drive. Then i bought a Peugeot lol

309 goodwood is a lovely car
want something that's going to worth alot in the near future but want mint mint!Going for an is200 se model comes with lsd, full leather, heated seats, air con and a quick shift gearbox

SE doesn't have a LSD mate. Only the Sport has a LSD unless you are going for one after 05 i think it was.

If you can afford one after 05, do so even if it means waiting. They had nicer leather seats, the stereo didn't have the dreaded "smash all 6 cds to pieces and jam up" fault which Lexus no longer repair FOC and the earlier ones had horrendous corrosion issues with the wheels but iirc, almost all should have been replaced FOC by Lexus now.

Yeah have read up on common faults and the call backs, they'll be getting replaced any way, bags and user wide wheels

The nav was shite on the pre 05 ones. Think they used a different system on the later ones but still wasn't brilliant unless its updated and it seems getting the update discs is almost impossible except from Lexus.

Well its all gone tits up looking around the pug at work today and noticed that the nsr quarter has rotten through
so it's not right to sell the car to my mate, as I'll feel bad for selling a dodgy car so that's the end of the gti,Anyway got on the dog and bone to Colin to see if he could take some 'spare' bits out of my garage as it's getting pretty full now, and started chatting about a few things about the lexus I wanted, then he got my full attention when he said would I go half's on a astor shell which I was happily to say yes which has made my day! So ill be staying with the 306 after all
I'd have the shell and he'll take the interia, brakes, suspension and a few more things. So project reshell will be under way once we get it to the unit fingers crossed it will be done for fcs :S

The plan was for my mate to buy the gti off me, buy a lexus and save enough money for a 309 but I can't let go of a 306 and I have no idea why haha

Main reason I want to sell it is the rear arches! Should of never flared them, fingers crossed it will be but most likely at end fcs with this shell and put everything in the new steel after fcs ready for pugfest and not going back to the dark side yet dude i will once my debt is payed off and have enough money for a dt again but for now staying with the 6

Yeah still coming to fcs dude, na me colin and james decided there wasn't enough time as colin had to swap gearboxes and sort out his turbo and external waste gate and james is getting his 205 on the road, so gunna do it Sunday plus the new shell hasn't got tax or an mot on it so got to wait anyway chaps but I will be there on my shell
