Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Fozzy - 15-01-2012 It wont take you long to spray but it will take ages to prep, lots of elbow grease. I'de just buy any white paint as long as its not cream, depends whether you will rattle can it or use a compressor, i know of someone with a nice big compressor, i think you do too ...... I bought a big tine of 2k black when doing my car still got loads but you need to decide if you will be doing the door shuts and engine bay etc or just a blow over. Xsi 2.0 16v - Matt - 15-01-2012 I will be doing door shuts, but not engine bay. Cba to take the engine etc out. And will be using a compressor. I do indeed know them. He offered to help me do it when h was drunk haha taking advantage much? Haha Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Foxy-jim - 15-01-2012 You going to keep the bonnet black? Xsi 2.0 16v - Matt - 15-01-2012 Nope all white ![]() Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Fozzy - 15-01-2012 Hehe, taking advantage of his drunkenness ah well he can't go back on it now. I think the wheels centres should go a wacky colour if white Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Foxy-jim - 15-01-2012 Lime green! Xsi 2.0 16v - Matt - 15-01-2012 I'm thinking white with either purple or green ![]() Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Niall - 16-01-2012 White with gloss black rubbing strips and spoiler. Win! Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - 4WayDiablo - 16-01-2012 Matt Wrote:I'm thinking white with either purple or greenabout 1k depends on how much prep work you do yourself and if you want just an external respray or a "glass out" one Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Fozzy - 16-01-2012 Floor Paint rolled on. ![]() Just saying....... Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Gunge - 16-01-2012 I think you should save yourself time and just buy my white 306 xsi-6 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - smanfa - 17-01-2012 Nooo keep it moonstone, I love your car!! Although I'd wanna keep my s16 interior Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Ed Doe - 17-01-2012 Matt, just buy Gunges Xsaye-6, got the right engine for starters, and is prettymuch exactly what you're aiming for anyway!! Swap the wheels and seats and you're winning ![]() /peerpressure Xsi 2.0 16v - Matt - 17-01-2012 Tbh ed this is what I'm thinking, swap mine, and I guess a little money for gunges. It's what I want to do to mine. Saves spraying etc. but do I keep my porno exhaust? Lol Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Fozzy - 17-01-2012 Yeah keep the exhaust Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Foxy-jim - 17-01-2012 Keep the exhaust and ecu too hha. Xsi 2.0 16v - Matt - 17-01-2012 What would I need the ecu for? It's got a '6 engine and mines an xsi. Gunge seriously I want to do a deal ![]() Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Foxy-jim - 18-01-2012 I thought his was an xsi too? Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - hbomb1905 - 19-01-2012 His is an XSi with a GTi-6 engine in it Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Foxy-jim - 20-01-2012 Ah, I though it just had the '6 box on it. Re: Xsi 2.0 16v - Ed Doe - 20-01-2012 So has this ground to a halt then? Are you cutting a deal with the Gunge-ster or are we being let loose on your xsaye with paint? ![]() Also, I was thinking; if you properly mask off and cover the engine, but spray the inside lip of the front quarters properly, the moonstone enginebay would look epic on the white car ![]() ![]() If you need a hand with the prep-work, I'm sure I can grab a few minutes inbetween fixing my perpetually broken ph3 heap ![]() ![]() Xsi 2.0 16v - Matt - 20-01-2012 Yeah we will be attacking mine with the paint in the summer. I've spoke to gunge, but the money he wants for the car is out of my price range, tbh I wasn't going to spray inside the engine bay anyway haha. Just inside the door shuts etc, going to be so much prep it's unreal haha. But I'm sure we will get it done, and yeah i think curt kinda has an idea about it being at his, I will be paying him for his time/use of compressor as its a big job.
