Re: Diablo D Turbo - vlj - 05-06-2012 as usual some lovely bognor regis weather. the pictures really highlight that my nearside side strip is in fact on upside down, and also that the wing isn't perfectly straight, and not a perfect colour match - but hey ho. picking up some what i think are -50ish springs from fozzy tomorrow and will get rear lowered soon! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: Diablo D Turbo - vlj - 09-06-2012 So I went to go and change to lowering springs + new drop links today (have the other parts for suspension rebuild but not enough time, drop links were desperate). Started with this: ![]() ....aaaand that's where I finished. I need a massive saw, the drop link bolts are the single worst thing I've ever come across - I got one of them right to the very end of the thread and almost saw daylight, but it was just tricking me - because it didn't want to go any further than that. Tomorrow I'm going to hunt for a f*ck off saw, saw the bolts off from the new shocks, and ARB link on the car and do the swap. Hopefully I'll have more success this time. ![]() Re: Diablo D Turbo - samass - 10-06-2012 looking good. tip for the drop links, chop them in half, pop the rod off the ball joint, and get some mole grips on them to stop them spinning while you undo the nut. thats if theyre plastic, otherwise, grind em off. Yeah they are plastic - but the ball was so greased up it just spins in the mole grips, Fozzy suggested a file - but I don't have one! Just going to saw the bolts off with my junior hacksaw ![]() Re: Diablo D Turbo - samass - 10-06-2012 ah right, probably means you weren't clamping the mole grips tight enough ![]() hacksaw will work just as well tho ![]() Re: Diablo D Turbo - vlj - 13-06-2012 ![]() ![]() ![]() Plans for the weekend while everyone is at FCS ![]() - Finally fit lowering springs and torsion bar adjusted to the height needed (already had the bar removed). - Spray ph3 bootlid diablo & fit - Fit vented splitter - Spray new hockey sticks diablo & fit so I'll at last have working hockey sticks - Pressed plates + surrounds fitting! - Fit the boost gauge I have properly into the vent rather than just hanging - Full valet courtesy from Bank of Parents - Fit new speakers Re: Diablo D Turbo - puglove - 13-06-2012 do i spy a little lucus tuning there! lol, get that damper pulled off the pump as well, thats only an optional extra lmao Re: Diablo D Turbo - vlj - 13-06-2012 puglove Wrote:do i spy a little lucus tuning there! lol, get that damper pulled off the pump as well, thats only an optional extra lmao which what who where why?
