RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 16-09-2014 Spent the last 2 hours researching Volvo tuning, why isn't there just a big encyclopaedia of engines.... RE: Project Car Suggestions - Poodle - 16-09-2014 Dude, seriously drop the williams lump in if you're thinking of doing that, such an easy swap. Edit: Or are you thinking of 850Rs? RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 16-09-2014 850r's mostly, but I'll look at the Williams engine swap. Are the engines really that easy to come by?? RE: Project Car Suggestions - Matt-Rallye - 17-09-2014 Anything you need to know about clio engines gimme a shout dude ![]() ![]() Personally if time wasn't an issue i would drop a meggy 225 lump into a 340gl and have massive sideways fun ![]() RE: Project Car Suggestions - C.A.R. - 17-09-2014 (16-09-2014, 03:41 PM)THE_Liam Wrote:(16-09-2014, 11:27 AM)C.A.R. Not as much as turboing but every bugger does that. Oh yea fo'sho, a fully-fledged twin-turbo 13BREW isn't a popular swap, the 12A is the NASP version which requires a fair bit of fabrication to fit. What I was getting at was whether it was worthwhile doing that fabrication work vs. the potential gains of just slapping a turbo / supercharger on the standard engine, for which there are many options and far less outlay! It would be hard to justify, but the NA rotory does sound awesome. Re: RE: Project Car Suggestions - THE_Liam - 17-09-2014 (17-09-2014, 02:47 PM)C.A.R. RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 18-09-2014 Anyone got any experience of Mk1 MR2s? How much do we think it'd cost to repair a rusty wheel arch? Not just on these, it seems like a common problem with all classics! Anyone ever heard of one of these? RWD apparently http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C487323# RE: Project Car Suggestions - Poodle - 18-09-2014 Wow, now that's original! Never heard of it and looks awesome, although i can't imagine it'll drive well as standard what with being from a company that focuses on commercial and 4x4... RE: Project Car Suggestions - Piggy - 18-09-2014 Not a fan of MR2s....bit gurly for me...but do stay clear of the mk1s. The mk2s are so cheap anyway and are a lot of fun, reliable and LOADS of simple and pretty cheap upgrades to be had RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 18-09-2014 Poodle, apparently the chassis was set up by lotus on some of them!? Mk2s aren't half as cool as Mk1s, piggy, and how anyone can say the Mk1 wedge is girly I don't know! RE: Project Car Suggestions - Piggy - 18-09-2014 True for coolness... Supra? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C537392 RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 19-09-2014 RWD redblock Volvo? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C519218 RE: Project Car Suggestions - Piggy - 19-09-2014 I do love those mk1 supras, bit crappy to drive BUT sooo much potential! Could be an epic lolvo too! What do YOU WANT though mate? - Thats what you should get! RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 19-09-2014 I don't know to be honest, I'm gonna not buy until at least the end of next month (my second paycheck), and in the mean time I'm hoping to just test drive anything and everything I can. Drove the new MG6 yesterday, but that's a little different to what I'm looking for ![]() RE: Project Car Suggestions - Jimmy306uk - 20-09-2014 http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=291244342734 RE: Project Car Suggestions - Poodle - 20-09-2014 I think that Isuzu thing is awesome tbh, small, rwd, rare and interesting. Be perfect if lotus really did set up the chassis! Tbh it looks pretty perfect as a project already. ![]() RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 20-09-2014 That Lexus is f*cking awesome! And it's cool, isn't it Poodle, that one is an auto though, and I'm not sure I could live with that :/ Been finding that issue with a lot of stuff, who buys sports cars with slush boxes?! RE: Project Car Suggestions - procta - 20-09-2014 what about an mg metro turbo? Apparently the 4AGE (I think) is a stormer. Always wanted to do one but they are on the pricey side RE: Project Car Suggestions - Ruan - 22-09-2014 Redblock turbo would be insanely cool... They can produce ridiculous amounts of power with very little work, finding one will be an issue. RE: Project Car Suggestions - Kezzieboy - 22-09-2014 Really? I swear I've seen like 6-7 NA Redblocks and 2-3 Turbos in the last week...maybe they're actually whiteblocks or something... |
