that's not the steering rack Tongue

That's the brake bar for the master cylinder.

Bash that and you'll have no brakes lol

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - ash23 - 06-04-2014

they do look very wide lol get them on with some arch extentions Big Grin

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Piggy - 06-04-2014

banded doesnt suit the theme to me...too much "look at me and my chavvy tyre shredding, tramlining car."! imo!

Need some C5 steelies to keep it sleeper and light!

like the buckets though Smile

be interested to see how you get on with those lower arms...need to do the mrs, and havnt lifted the carpet to find the bolts yet!

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Teddy - 06-04-2014

i do like banded steel they just stick out the arch about 2 foot

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Teddy - 07-04-2014

going to have a go at fitting front mount this afternoon its going to be tight as there is f*ck all room

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Martin306 - 07-04-2014

No room for a fmic?

My S2 has LOADS of space in front of the rad, is the rad still in it's original place? Maybe the s1 has less of a gap? I never really noticed.

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Teddy - 07-04-2014

the bottom off the bumper sits very close to slam panel so really hard to get a pipe between it with out cutting bumper cant move rad as there no room to move it back

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Chris_90 - 07-04-2014

If you fit the Renault oil filter that might free some room up, what radiator is on this? Nor still on the 1.5d one is it?

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Teddy - 07-04-2014

made a start before it chucked it down with rain left side is fine it right side i got problems trying to make it fit round bumper

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Chris_90 - 07-04-2014

Run it under chassis leg can see this over heating on that radiator tbh mine gets quite hot some times, so being a d turbo bet it will get mega hot would look in to a bigger radiator if possible tbh

thats the plan lad there hole cut in the wing to run it through i bet it propperly will had it running for about 10mins the other day when setting pump it didnt really get that hot

its running a smaller oil filter but its about 1/2 away from starter motor and alternator

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Chris_90 - 07-04-2014

Probably won't get on tick over but boosting around I'm sure it will start to rise Wink

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Teddy - 07-04-2014

RE: S1 106 dturbo (sleeper) - Piggy - 08-04-2014

Nice one.

Not sure if it helps, but on my mrs nad, doesnt matter if you rag, cruise or sit in traffic, temp never goes above halfway...
Only thing going for it is its got a 12month old gen rad.
