Also got a new bonnet and grill and sticks; all of which are non lacquer peeled! No more shaking car when driving now RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - 7057sam - 06-05-2014 Anything turbo wise happening ??? ![]() RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 06-05-2014 Manifold and pistons enroute RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 11-05-2014 Had some ok weather so went to see jaymes at pugperformance, picked up 2 clones, a bonnet, grill and hockey sticks. So fit and swapped tyre onto decent clone (from the old clone which was buckled) and kept the 5th clone on tyre as a spare wheel - set of 5 now And fit the replacement bonnet and grill to parts which are pretty mint. Old bonnet ![]() The peel stretched all across the bonnet and grill. New one is on and pretty mint ![]() Next up is to check out the front suspension. Also secured a job for September so amongst saving for a house, i'm going to have some spare money to plough into a bottomless pit of a GTI6 /facepalm RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 01-06-2014 Productive day today; treated the car to a wash and meguiars polish with a coating of rain-x for all the windows ![]() ![]() ![]() slight swirling going on, but not too bad ![]() Followed by a quick check of the oil, realising the oil was low and it was almost sludge on the dipstick, i gave the oil and filter a change. ![]() ![]() Also removed standard air filter setup for a nice 90* bend and new filter. Thanks ![]() ![]() Now keep looking at the bay and how dirty it is. If anyone has any suggestions as to what to use on the bay to clean it up, would be appreciated RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ozonehostile - 02-06-2014 Cover the sensitive electrical components then go at it with the most powerful jet wash you can get your hands on just to get the all the major grime off. I use stuff called wurth ultra 2040, almost like wd40 but way better. Brings up the bay a treat :-) with added bonus of rust prevention too RE: Ginge's Diablo '6 - ginge191 - 02-06-2014 (02-06-2014, 03:20 PM)ozonehostile Wrote: Cover the sensitive electrical components then go at it with the most powerful jet wash you can get your hands on just to get the all the major grime off.
