There's a scrappy near my work that has an NSU RO80, I walk past it every day, keep meaning to get a photo but at either 8am or 6pm it's always dark...

RE: It's a ford - procta - 02-01-2014

Not at the minute no. Cheers anyway. On the scout for a dash but expensive Sad

RE: It's a ford - THE_Liam - 02-01-2014

It was a big luxury saloon made from '67 to '77 with a Wankel rotary, extinct now because the company went bankrupt due to failing rotor tip seals and was absorbed into Audi. The Audi plant in Neckarsulm is the old NSU factory Wink

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 04-01-2014

RE: It's a ford - Craigus - 04-01-2014

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 04-01-2014

RE: It's a ford - THE_Liam - 05-01-2014

Dude when did you get a unit?

RE: It's a ford - mikey b - 05-01-2014

This is going to be good when done and bike carbs are a good upgrade

RE: It's a ford - THE_Liam - 05-01-2014

Zetec is a great upgrade for these...

RE: It's a ford - karl1989 - 05-01-2014

Got the unit yesterday mate. Still got the other garage too. Don't want to change the engine unless I get a rs turbo lump but that's a long shot. Getting it on ramps in a friends unit next weekend to have a look under neath

RE: It's a ford - THE_Liam - 05-01-2014

Mate of mine had a mk4 1.4LX few years ago, he bought a scrap 2.0 Zetec Mondeo for £150 and we converted it in a day using the stock ECU and some clever wiring, used the original box with an RS Turbo flywheel that cost £20 and a new clutch for £40, all in all it was less than £250...

Recent purchase not original but oh well

back in the day before cd's, internet and mobile phones were the sizes of house bricks. I had to fit a manual choke back on mine too as the shite bi metalic thingy packed up. I remember as well they had that horrid ratchet system on the clutch pedal.

I had the whole peco BB4 system on mine and it sounded great.

Miss those days
