I doubt I'll be camping, I go to Cornwall the week after, but I wouldn't camp in Scarborough. Its expensive and if you fancy going out its rough as arses. I'd book near one of the outlying villages like Cayton Bay or Seamer, nicer places with nicer pubs, and usually cheaper, plus Cayton Bay is an awesome beach

Spital Farm just out side Scarborough in Staxton is a good cheap place to camp. £10 per night.

If anyone is up for camping I've just had a cracking weekend at a campsite inbetween Scarborough and Bridlington called "bobby bees". Really relaxed, camp fires encouraged, on site butty van in the morning and only a fiver a night!
