RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Now with flocking inside) - Pompey306mark - 02-03-2013

Yea bit a bit of a crap morning.

Glue did not turn up yesterday for the roof liner so that had to stay at home. Fitted everything, then realised I had black seat belt covers after fitting the original cream ones. Removed the cream ones on the passenger side fine, but the drivers side one broke. So need to go to the scrap yard and grab a new runner/ plastic bit inside the runner.

Next up the engine bay cleaning and painting. Might just do a load of random colours.

Dibs on the flocked Dash if you break. :p

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Now with flocking inside) - Pompey306mark - 03-03-2013

I already have four gauges, one in a vent, three in an a pillar mount.

But I have just one a double centre vent. So just need to find a place to put the last one.

I have owned my 5 door for 6 years, and I think this will be around for a while.

That looks wicked mate! Like all the flocked bits and pieces

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Now with flocking inside) - Dicky - 08-03-2013

This project is siiick, need to keep an eye on this one for sure...

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Now with flocking inside) - Pompey306mark - 08-03-2013

So I got my flocked parts back.

Will most likely get the fasica and vents done in blue to match the carpet.

I managed to get a hold of a double gauge centre vent, so I wont be using my A pillar gauge holder in the new car.
Will get a double guage for water and oil temp, then just use a boost gauge and oil pressure gauge.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - Pompey306mark - 08-03-2013

Wind deflectors
Head lining
Rear lights
Doors
And anything else that's left.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - devils_fuel - 08-03-2013

How many gauges does the pod hold, I guess you are selling it??

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - Pompey306mark - 08-03-2013

Piggy look up a few posts.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - C.A.R. - 11-03-2013

Look forward to seeing it all fitted mate.

Flocking a dash or dash-section gives a really odd effect at night, since nothing reflects on it. You'll find the car feels really dark now, in a good way of course. The lights on the dash are that much more defined and look like they're 'floating' in the dash, since they're not casting light.

I sound like a nutter, but trust me lol.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - 306GT30 - 11-03-2013

I still find it strange..whenever i look into the car trough the normal not tinted windows i cant even see the dash, that black it is..

I cant wait to see it in the dark, with al my custom plasma stuff... and gauges... will look shit hot!

This has taken longer than I wanted. Last few weeks I have either been ill not well or busy.

And fitting this today took longer than I thought it would, always very easy in my 5 door.

Now hopefully going to jet wash the engine bay, and get some rust off the rear quarter.

Re: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - WiNgNuTz - 27-03-2013

Looking good mark, pretty epic project tbh! Smile

Oh, and dibs on your wind deflectors when you decide to sell. Big Grin Need some non-broken ones. lol

Had to remove the rear window to attack the rust, it was worse than this but again forgot a before pic.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - Pompey306mark - 27-03-2013

This looks better, get some protection on there then put the window back in.

roof lining looks ace mate Smile

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - Pompey306mark - 27-03-2013

Made it myself. Third time of doing one.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - sam - 27-03-2013

Liking the project dude! Coming along nicely Smile

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - Pompey306mark - 27-03-2013

Getting there, now there will be a delay as my engine is having head issues. So would like to get uprated head stud and forged internals, with a 4 paddle clutch and better turbo, either E300 or RS turbo.

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - sam - 27-03-2013

Sounds good dude shame about the head issues though not the best of thi gs to happen tbh not sticking to the t25 then? Ever thought about a t2/t25 hybrid?

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - declantg - 27-03-2013

Mark did you do the roof liner yourself? if so have you got a link to the material?

RE: Project re shell. 3 door. (Flocking now completed) - Pompey306mark - 27-03-2013

I bought suedette from my local material shop though can get it online.

My turbo is good cars pretty quick but I though with a gt series it will be better.
