There is the option to convert to the R32 rear end and get an aftermarket back box, but unfortunately you're looking at £500+ to change it over. Matt has first dibs from pretty much the day I bought it =L ill probably end up with another down the line but I can't insure two cars at the moment and mine needs too much work unfortunately Jakes MK5 GTI. - Jake - 19-03-2013 Waxed it yesterday. PictorrZ Also... Repping! RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - C.A.R. - 19-03-2013 Looks real nice mate. How are you finding it on juice? I'd love one of these but I think I'd end up with a GT TDi, doing 45 miles a day That and the fact they are still way out of my price range Jakes MK5 GTI. - Jake - 19-03-2013 (19-03-2013, 12:46 PM)C.A.R. Wrote: Looks real nice mate. Thanks man. It's not that bad on fuel... Obviously it's never going to be like my DT was but I do about 40 miles a day too and I can average about 35MPG if I drive it sensibly. But it's normally under 20 tbh. I get about 400 - 450 miles to a tank of Vpower. I did look at the gt-tdi but just knew that I would get in it every day and wish I had a GTI. RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - lewisdmz - 19-03-2013 Looks very nice, definitely something i'd consider if I wanted something more grown up. 6k seems cheap? What's the mileage? RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - Toms306 - 19-03-2013 Mmmm shiny! I'm not a huge fan of the standard mk5 but the GTi in that colour does look really good!! Also, did you put the pic of the oc sticker on dubgen? I got some pretty good comments on there when I did haha. Always liked these. You need to invest in some tyre shine though. RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - Jake - 21-07-2013 So boring update.. Just had an mot and it passed with no advisorys. First car to ever do that. RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - Tom - 21-07-2013 What bhp are these? Are they quick like that even compared to a td04 xud? I do love the colour of this one, such a nice blue! RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - samass - 21-07-2013 well, Ruan's gt17 xud keeps up with it, eh jake? RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - Niall - 21-07-2013 There 180bhp arent they? RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - Dum-Dum - 21-07-2013 Needs lowered (and to stop hanging around with astras) RE: Jakes MK5 GTI. - Jake - 21-07-2013 There 200 standard. But easy go to 240-250 on a stage one... Which it what I'll be doing rather than lowering. |
