Right mark said its all ok. But for publicity photos keep to the back Tongue front row shot with a Astra there hahaha

Re: French Car Show 2012 - 1616six - 07-05-2012

LOL i wanna see this convo from mark!

Re: French Car Show 2012 - 4WayDiablo - 07-05-2012

Sorry but no offence to jj (or anyone else on the stand that wont have a 306)
But I don't think they should be allowed on the parade lap. It would spoil it. Its a 306 club on a 306 parade lap to celebrate 10years iirc of cease production of the 306
So why should other cars be allowed lol

Re: French Car Show 2012 - darrenjlobb - 07-05-2012

Lol im not even going to comment here!

Re: French Car Show 2012 - ginge191 - 07-05-2012

hahaha matt that is hillarious.

it is a 306 parade lap for a reason don't forget, just because you've owned a 306, or know someone with one, it cant validate taking an astra amongst the 306's in my opinion..

Re: French Car Show 2012 - Dan! - 07-05-2012

Jordan, just buy a cheap 306 for fcs then sell it afterwards Smile

Re: French Car Show 2012 - darrenjlobb - 07-05-2012

As if the parade lap isnt bad enough anyway, let alone with non 306's let alone non french cars at a french car show...

Re: French Car Show 2012 - pfcmagazine - 07-05-2012

Lol glad that wasn't a private discussion mate :-)

anyway FCS stance is we don't pick and chose clubs cars, thats their choice, I had to laugh earlier when I saw this on google......

RTOC parade lap few years back, the point of the discussion was a rogue saxo at the front.

Personally as a club chairman for ten years, clubs are social gatherings and friends but as stated to Matt, if you decide to include NON 306's I stand by my point to keep them at the back and they won;t do any harm, infact they could leave a wee gap!

Re: French Car Show 2012 - 1616six - 07-05-2012

Me & dan at the back ftw

Nah I'll stay on the stand then! But can me, amber & the dog go in someone's car for the parade lap then? X

Re: French Car Show 2012 - Dan! - 07-05-2012

I wont be going on the parade lap lol, id actually be embarrased in the Bora with loads of 306's lol

Re: French Car Show 2012 - Scott - 07-05-2012

I think if JJ, Dan and any non-306 owners are happy to jump in as passengers (there is a max requirement for passengers by the way, will post more info shortly) then that would be ideal Smile

Re: French Car Show 2012 - 1616six - 07-05-2012

There'll be me, amber and the 306oc mascot... If anyone can help!

Cheers

Welcome to hop in with me but as said, I think there is limits to passengers so you guys might get split up!

French Car Show 2012 - Matt - 07-05-2012

It's 1 passenger. No back seat passengers

Re: French Car Show 2012 - D@wson - 07-05-2012

You could charge Him for rust protection lol

Well it seems a lot of people don't like it. I did part of someone's Audi at the lights today and all I got was the wanker sign. Little does he realise I've done him a big favour by stopping his plastic bumper rusting!

Re: French Car Show 2012 - Scott - 07-05-2012

I hear there are widespread problems with audi bumpers rusting in the newer models. Also I hear that the owners manual comes with a series of diagrams for helping you communicate more effectively with road users. It sounds like he was using the German signing for 'Thank you', but as it's been translated from German I could see why you'd mistake his signage.

I did hear that they had made a mistake that the plastic they used for the bumper actually had a high metal content. Problem is its a new type of metal that has a really strong magnetic field and draws to things especially when moving at speed.

Unfortunately the signage is a direct German translation in the handbook. Seeing as they don't have the technology for orange flashing lights on the sides of the car, they have to use hand signals. Problem is they don't use the same signals as us and have been instructed to use the V sign, wanker sign and in order to keep hands on wheel at high speed driving, they can flash the main beams.
