I now can get 20litres for £17.50 from my local takeaway who gets it from their Wholesalers. Which Is 87ppl. But with the mpg of a diesel won't it still work out cheaper? And all you need is £150 tops for Bosch setup. Yep, that's the point. Look at it this way, a '6 running gas, properly mapped with a good conversion, should have very nearly as much power as a '6 running on petrol, and taking into account the cheaper cost of gas should have an equivalent mpg of around 40-45mpg round town and 60-70mpg on a run. Basically, cheaper to run than a HDI with '6 power and bwarp... RE: LPG? - Midnightclub - 19-12-2012 That is pure winning tbh... Not cheaper than mine LPG? - THE_Liam - 20-12-2012 Even if your HDI got 70mpg the higher cost of diesel would mean the '6 on LPG would get more, and put it this way, the way you'd be driving to get 70mpg (if that's even possible), I reckon a '6 could get near 40mpg driven like that, making the equivalent mpg around 75... RE: LPG? - Anton - 20-12-2012 Atm im getting 52mpg on veg at 90ppl, that works out at 80.8mpg. LPG? - THE_Liam - 21-12-2012 No bwaaarp though... I'm not trying to prove its cheaper than diesel, I just used a HDI as a point of reference. It's cheaper than a lot of diesels, and given the choice of a diesel doing 50mpg or a petrol/LPG doing 50mpg I'd have the petrol every time! If I was trying to prove it was cheaper than diesel I'd just use an Aygo as reference, 120mpg! |
