What's ironic is he said you wouldn't expect it on a car forum. So far all the replies have been expected from THIS car forum.

How much is a plane ticket to Africa to follow in Madge's footsteps?

Bear in mind you'll have one return ticket and one one way.

My Grandad had premium bonds for years and never won anything.

If you do find a good quick way of gaining interest on savings though, I'd be interested to know how! Smile

Me too! Oh, hang on, you have to have money first don't you? Damn.

Yeah i thought you was buying a pool of sharks with fricking lazer beams attached to their heads

RE: what am i going to buy?? - Midnightclub - 13-12-2012

IMO i really wouldn't waste putting them into premium bonds.. i don't believe they accumulate any kind of interest whilst there in there.. think emmas were in there for a good 3-4 years and think she won £25?

Pfftt... we know what you forum owners are like! You'd end up with some expensive rims!

Cully, what a sensible choice. Your teacher's always knew you'd grow up to be a sagacious young man!

Bloke I work with has premium bonds but he must just have good ones as he always gets a few hundred at least 3 or 4 times a year, at least you know you will get your money back

exactly ! got fecked over on my endowment motgage so id sooner put the monies safe than risk it and loose

interest rate is feck all in the banks!
you never know as the lottery says "It could be you"

RE: what am i going to buy?? - Midnightclub - 13-12-2012

Interest rate may be feck all.. but essentially if it's sat in a premium bonds account, it doesn't make interest.. so with inflation you're actually losing money

what am i going to buy?? - Jonny b - 13-12-2012

My mate has had way more than any interest from any account in the last 2 years, it's basically the only risk free investment you will ever get

check out cash ISA's and also check out share ISA's, share ISA's are slightly more risk (you can chose your risk depending on provider) but a better return on investment than cash ISA Smile
