I got about 35mpg average but at 90ppl i dont really care.
My spritmonitor account says that for the entire time i had the donkey it was costing me about £9 in fuel to do a hundred miles compared to the £30 it costs in the 6

I think sunflower is better in cold weather, I never used to have as much trouble on cold starts with it

Yes sunflower is usually more expensive but has more calories per liter so you can go faster on it or get better MPGees, kinda like the V-Power of the cooking oil world.
It also smells better

No it isn't, its 45mpg!
Exactly what I used to get in my 1.4 when petrol was a pound a litre, made it so easy to calculate cos it was a tenner for a hundred miles lol.

Fuel prices is the main reason why I'm thinking well the hdi for 1k-ish.
Buy a nice phase1 low miles nice turbo Bosch pump and run it on veg.

If you can be bothered with the hassle and fuel cost really is an issue then Bosch and dturbo is the only way to go and start going round your local takeaways and chip shops asking for their waste veg oil - we pay £4 for 20ltrs round here of WVO then filter it ourselves.

You dont have to declare it as long as its below the 2/3500l per year that your allowed and you keep a record.

Ahh my bad, sure I read wvo had to be charged duty as its primary use was cooking before being used as a fuel, and companies using it may have claimed VAT back on it.

Been running Veg/Sunflower for 50k miles, no problems.
On Diesel i can average around 52mpg, on veg i average around 46-50 depending on how i drive. (cold starts also allowing it to warm up using more fuel)

Im going to buy a whole roll of leakoff pipe tbh, had the dreaded one popping off last week but it was the return to the pump, lost about 10L of the stuff!
Always ran straight veg too, starts fine with the new battery but really struggled with the old motorfactor cheapo one

my old 106 nad did a much higher mpg on veg than pump diesel! and it loved the stuff
... ooh and it was on a lucas pump! havent used it in the Dtub yet
