I forgot you put it back in! What ruan is saying is that there is nowhere for heat to go until the stat opens without the heater matrix in the circuit so it just boils the head, be nice to it and sort some matrix hoses out! ![]() I have a set but the clip for the bulkhead connection has snapped so you can have them when you return my tools and drop off Daves gearbox if you want them, the metal clip should hold them in fine for now ![]() RE: f*ck you all - Ruan - 21-06-2012 I think I'm going to make a warning post about this... I keep seeing it more and more... I think I've seen maybe 5 cars in the last month, all of them now have knackered head gaskets. RE: f*ck you all - Scott - 21-06-2012 Please do ^^ ![]() RE: f*ck you all - cwspellowe - 21-06-2012 ...interesting. There are pipes that bypass the thermostat though, I thought their purpose was to circulate coolant until the full system opened with the thermostat? RE: f*ck you all - Ruan - 21-06-2012 The problem is that you get hotspots in the back of the head along with the fact there's not quite enough flow on the matrix, because of the pipe on the back right of the head doesn't get the water out the back of the head... Or it's an easier option to go through the bypass if you join them. |
