RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - WILL1000 - 12-09-2013 doesn't it leak from where you've drilled for the threaded bar to go through? RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - Dum-Dum - 12-09-2013 Nah I used a few fiber washers wither side RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - Poodle - 12-09-2013 I feel i should point out he doesn't actually know this, what with never having kept a car long enough to have to MOT it... ![]() RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - Jethro - 17-09-2013 Gonna try this one in the near future, when my mid-section is going to get replaced. RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - me-tm - 22-09-2013 I've just done this conversion earlier today. Thanks for that, I fitted mine using exactly this method last night in the dark, took half an hour. Sounds crazy now being straight through from the turbo! RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - JJtheHITMAN - 27-10-2013 Iv welded in a centre box from a yaris. Shaped like a cherry bomb silencer, looks to have great flow inside and has quietened it down low down the revs like i wanted. Wasnt to sure were to fit it though so i welded it where my back box should be. Anyone know if the positioning of silencers makes any differance? I should imagine you would need it furthest away from turbo right? RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - nick000 - 19-11-2013 brilliant - have decat pipe & hopefully have a crack at the weekend - thanks for the guide! Cut the hangary bit off the original back box and used that and a massive jubilee clip to secure the mid box to the car then clamped on the original down pointing tail pipe. RE: Guide; Mid box to back box conversion - Poodle - 26-11-2013 I'm not posting mine, it's that bad lol. |
