doesn't it leak from where you've drilled for the threaded bar to go through?

Gonna try this one in the near future, when my mid-section is going to get replaced.

I've just done this conversion earlier today.

I used an old exhaust clamp and put the threaded bar through it, with nuts and washers, like so...

I also decided to stick a shiny exhaust tip on it. Big Grin

Thanks for that, I fitted mine using exactly this method last night in the dark, took half an hour.

Sounds crazy now being straight through from the turbo!

Iv welded in a centre box from a yaris. Shaped like a cherry bomb silencer, looks to have great flow inside and has quietened it down low down the revs like i wanted. Wasnt to sure were to fit it though so i welded it where my back box should be. Anyone know if the positioning of silencers makes any differance? I should imagine you would need it furthest away from turbo right?

as far as i know each bend is supposed to change the note of your exhaust so would imagine it would

So my mid-back box mk4 on my estate.

Cut the hangary bit off the original back box and used that and a massive jubilee clip to secure the mid box to the car then clamped on the original down pointing tail pipe.
