No words needed in honesty. I've never seen such shit repairs involving some piss thin excuse for metal, lots of filler, underseal and silicone sealant! Also noticed the previous owner IS the mot tester who tested it... That explains a lot ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In other news the rear arches were stripped and ground back to good metal so just waiting on some white paint now, also been in talks with a bodyshop that owes me a favour regarding a full respray so hopefully i can get this one upto standard properly. RE: Matts £200 Cherry Rallye shell rebuild & tidy up project. - Dum-Dum - 29-09-2016 So you've stopped restoring one rusty rallye and started restoring a different rallye and that has turned out to be nearly as rusty? Iv'e got a family life, megane, 2 rallyes, 2 landrovers amongst other things. Little bits get done at a time. But it looks largely the same so no new pictures or ,major progress to update. RE: Matts £200 Cherry Rallye shell rebuild & tidy up project. - Ben_w - 29-09-2016 Usual rust for a Rallye. Will have been jacked on the box sections. Impressive 'repair' though. Chassis rail looks to have a rather dubious repair on it. Suspect you probably are doing if Zakk is on the case but I'd rip it all off and see what you are faced with.
