Post number 4 in this thread is a standard phase 1 gti engine in the UK.
I see, so the phase 1 gti came with 167bhp as well ? but only with 5 speed manual ?

no, hence the 6 badge.
uk s16 is a bv5 gti, all Peugeot cars with the rfs are 6 speed.
