Yea I saw they are quite pricey.....
However i have money to burn so I want the best!!

RE: Which are better? - Paul_13 - 21-02-2015

Don't even go near green stuff pads

B4s are fine if you're looking for a quality oem replacement, if you're not using it for aggressive driving i'd go for those or genuine parts.

Ideal thankyou (: like I said its my daily and I have the kids in the car practically all the time so I drive slow anyway. I won't be tracking it so seems pointless to fork out for b8s then

The other option was the gmax shocks and springs! Around the same sort of price as the b4s! Either way I only want a 40/50mm drop

RE: Which are better? - Lita-Marie - 21-02-2015

It's not a case of speeding everywhere, I Mostly stay within limits. I just know my car and what she can handle

RE: Which are better? - Poodle - 21-02-2015

Not many on here rate gmax, although i haven't experienced them myself, i'd stick with the billies imo.

Keep an eye on the discs when you're using them lita-marie, cheap drilled and grooved ones tend to crack.

its amazing how criminals always regret their crime...  25% over the speed limit...  prison time haha

Dont buy blisteins, get this http://www.halfords.com/motoring/interior-accessories/car-seat-covers-cushions/halfords-beaded-seat-cushion-back-support

RE: Which are better? - miles - 21-02-2015

44's are Ok for the road and thats it, any fast use and they fade quickly, the 55's are a better option and not much more either, But if you use the Clio pad they are even cheaper but you must have new disc's as the pads are larger, Pagid RS4's are great but around £185.00 a set.
Rear always use Std pads, they never get hot enough otherwise

Bilstein's and Mintex I can supply hopefully at unbeatable prices

I've already ordered all my bit, but good to know for the future. Especially as me and my partner are also doing an astra gte too. That's a long way off but still needs doing.

Oh I see, that's not good is it, if you're going to speed at least don't get caught! Confused

I guess you'll have to go to court for that? But you have being female on your side, just flutter your eyelashes and say there was emergency with one of your children and they'll let you off! Smile

RE: Which are better? - Toms306 - 22-02-2015

Oh is that it? Thought it'd be more considering the speed. Wouldn't worry about it then lol. lol

Still 3 points isn't good Sad

RE: Which are better? - Poodle - 23-02-2015

Hahaha that's better, Lita-marie, get the claws out!

It'll be three points and £60 iirc, won't get the option of a course because you were more than 10mph over the limit, at least that's what they said when i enquired about the same a couple of years ago. Blush

RE: Which are better? - Seb_Ryan - 23-02-2015

£100 fine now, my mate got done last month lol

Ah christ a life Sad could cry haha!

RE: Which are better? - Toms306 - 24-02-2015

Unless you intend to get caught another 3 times in the near future 3 points isn't that bigger deal imo. £100 fine would annoy me more lol.

It does raise your insurance premiums for quite a while as well though which is irritating, my friend did a speed awareness course instead of taking points but called for quotes taking the 3 points into account just in case and it raised his premiums by nearly £100. If you have to pay £100 more each year for a few years that's still not great.
