well ive put the engine back together filled it with oil and started it and it sounded sweet
.
.
.
untill it got hot!
the car is going to need an engine
well i kind of knew that anyway
it still drives lovely though
before its fate has been decided it will be going in for MOT under its own steam
to see the extent of the work required

RE: twins are home! - cully - 17-02-2015

today is D-Day for this car

it has just been picked up on trade plates and is on its way for MOT under its own power
ive done all the standard checks
lights, wipers, screenwash, tyres, belts, warning lights

so the question is what will it fail on??

Would of thought this would be a chance to get your freshly build engine fitted...or fit it to the Bianca and use that one...

that has already been metioned !

i have two options

sell it with 12 months mot with the bad engine gives someone else a chance at a good car cheap ish

or

put an engine in it myself and try to sell if for too much money

Diesel conversion? You said it's cleaner than your daily, so get a DW10/XUD9 lump, rebuild it and drop it in. I bet your HDi would fetch enough value to cover the costs too..

Tell you what, I'll build an engine up for you with a nice VNT bolted on, then we'll have a meet at yours to fit it Big Grin

RE: twins are home! - Toms306 - 17-02-2015

Get more money sticking another engine in and selling it as a '6. Don't ruin its value with a diesel conversion!! Confused

RE: twins are home! - cully - 17-02-2015

option 3

sit on it for parts for myself and sell off interia and panels

RE: twins are home! - Niall - 17-02-2015
