Yeah not many ph.1s...do prefer the look of them but then I'm a ph.1 kinda guy. lmao

Great project...much cheapness. Would love a track slag to muck about with!

I'll sell you a 106 gti? Tongue

I currently have:

2x 106 GTi's
2x Saxo VTS's
306 rallye
306 S16
306 HDi

And zakks 405 at the back of the man cave lol

I would absolutely love a 106gti, I'm in the process of looking at shitty dervs to save money for the 306 don't go tempting me into using man logic and buying a 106gti as a track slag instead of a commuter because I probably bloody will. lmao

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - welshpug - 13-12-2014

they weigh more than 850!

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - Piggy - 13-12-2014

875kg the 1.5diesel.
So I cant imagine a stripped out 1.6 being more than 850

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - procta - 13-12-2014

depends on how hard core he goes, Ie with Perspex and fibre glass panels, and thinning of panels, Ie chopping out some supports, ( some of the racers thin out the doors, boot lids) also thinning out the loom too, and removing practically all the extras and leaving just the basics in.

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - welshpug - 13-12-2014

935 kg kerb weight.

he'll be adding weight with the bigger wheels and bigger brakes lol

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - Piggy - 13-12-2014

Thats weird...the heaviest 106 kerb weight is 880kg.

If he is smart he will get lighter wheels!

(and 206 180 gti bosch calipers which are slightly smaller and lighter 283mm calipers Wink )

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - welshpug - 13-12-2014

dunno where you're reading that but a 106 is 925.

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - Poodle - 13-12-2014

I don't know, i don't do petrols lol. Or standard for that matter. Imo it should make that much as standard. And i didn't read the post above properly, sshhh!

Would love that Matt, cheers, when are you doing the 'ring? Been before?

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - Piggy - 13-12-2014

106 diesel is 850, rallye is 865 and gti is 925

(my bad on missing the gti weight)

It owes me less money and its tidier! Win win situation. My mate offered me £300 for the saxo exactly as it stood so hes having it. Hopefully he collects and pays this week so i can get more shizzle bought.

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - procta - 15-12-2014

what's the difference between the saxo and 106? as I heard its the same car just panels and badges are different.

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - welshpug - 15-12-2014

could have dropped those bolts off :p

RE: Matt-Rallyes budget Saxo VTS track car build. - mattsrallye - 15-12-2014

£150! Absolute bargain there! Should be a good project.
FWIW it's worth my standard S2 rallye (with airbag and power steering) is 905 kgs with a full tank of fuel:

So 2 pages (soon to be 3) and no photos of any work on this car.

When you stripping it as I love ripping interiors out of cars.
