Having owned numerous 106's (including one S1 Rallye and 2 GTi's) I'd have the S1 anyday.
You all know my opinion of 306's...
BUT out of all of the French shit I've owned (including 205's and a 405) my first 106 S1 1.6 XSi was by far the best. Light, nimble, torquey enough... and I'm 6 foot 6 with size 13's...
I'd still snap one up now if you could find them!
