need to go out and syphon the tank out and check the filler elbow joints

oh and its on a jammapic stg 1+ map which has livened the girl up somewhat
cant believe how quiet this car is to drive compared to the estate Smile

Mine was doing this with the previous owner (Razorback Rob)

Turned out the high pressure line from the tank had a small split in it which was leaking down the side of the tank, noticed it had been rubbing against the return line and worn that also so replaced* them both Smile did have to drop the tank but thats only 3-4 bolts

*Bodged ninja

Cars looking very tidy! looks like you had a brucey bargain Big Grin

bodged??? don't you mean performance engineered large bore race spec fuel hoses Wink

looks good cully, always liked 3dr moonstones. I was sort of looking for one myself but bought a 406 instead Smile

did those bits arrive ok by the way?

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 04-11-2014

yes thanks Ozone all the bits turned up and are fitted
made a big difference being able to open the bonnet and it not hitting you on the head!

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - C2K - 04-11-2014

It'll be this Cully:

http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-11052.html?highlight=leak

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 04-11-2014

yup that the one leaking its only an air bleed off the top of the tank but its a bitch to get to, I'm going to cut it near the pump and run a rubber fuel pipe to the filler port
but for now i will be filling to 35/40 ltrs only Wink

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 04-11-2014

OK so I got carried away looking for the leak, but C2K and I were right it was the breather its got a tiny perforation on one of the flexi bits where it has rubbed something

[attachment=19918]

i cut the tube near the fuel pump and pulled hard to get it out it wont be going back in for sure!

to repair this i have pushed an insert into the existing pipe and fitted some rubber hose with a worm clip, then fed it down and around and worm clipped it to the filler tube fitting

I'm happy now that's done I can brim the tank without getting ear ack from my wife for marking the drive with diesel Smile

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 08-11-2014

update time
since putting the stg1+ map on the car at the top end is rapid
but Iwas not happy with the bottom end preformance
it was driving like
lag lag lag...2.2krpm takeoff

it wernt doing that before the map, so i got back in contact with Jamapic,
we descused things and came to the conclusion the MAF was stuffed,
he suggested unplugging MAF and running the car to see if stuff improved,

so last night on leaving work i unplugged the MAF and.....

the car grew a few extra pots and took off like somethig had lit its tail so the MAF is defo fecked!
now need to order a new one when theres some discount codes about again
so in the meanwhile im driving with the MAF unplugged

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 14-11-2014

been driving around in this car for a few weeks now and its begining to grow on me Smile
more so now its got the Stg1 + jammapic map installed
but there's one thing that ive missed from the estate,
which is the C5 dimming mirror i installed

so i put a cheeky low offer in on one on ebay and won it for £15 delivered
ive also bought a cheap ass traffic camera DVR which I'm playing with

so today ive wired in the power to both these goodies
instead of taking the power from the auto windows, this time ive gone from the sun roof supply

so piggy backed into the power connector

[attachment=20091]

the camera is powered by a 5v Mini USB cable so it seemed daft not to modify a USB cigarette adapter and put it on the loom with the mirror lead

[attachment=20092]

once it was all installed the wires were poked into there intended directions above the head lining

[attachment=20093]

mirror cover was trimmed to fit and the camera installed which you cant see from the drivers seat

[attachment=20094]
[attachment=20095]

now with the camera connected to a Ign live every time the Ign is on the camera records automatic without having to touch it

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - silverzx - 14-11-2014

I like that camera idea a lot! Smile Which camera is it?

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 14-11-2014

the camera is from Ebay was about £20 without the memory card its ok in the day light but fairly crap in street light and unlit areas
camera go's by the name of "GS8000L"

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - silverzx - 14-11-2014

Night time quality looks awful.. Otherwise looks uber value.

RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 22-11-2014

RE: cully's Battered D Turbo Daily - cully - 27-02-2015

Wat append waz.........
Parked up in Exeters Macro store car park. Loaded car got in to go.
Look left.right mirrors as you do...
pulled out of parking bay
and the trolley bay jumped out at me without looking............

nah!
Fuucking trolley bay had a pipework frame that was only 400mm high right in the mirror blind spot
i turned to early as i left the parking bay and i folded the car round the end of the trolley bay pipework

not my greatest day..

il probably steal the parts off the other car and get the hammer out and straighten the panel best as i can

RE: cully's Battered D Turbo Daily - Toms306 - 27-02-2015

Well that's shit. Undecided

In future don't park next to trolley bays! Tongue

That's better tbh, id imagine dumdum would be;
Sledge hammer to knock it about 1cm to far, then knock it back abit. Followed by an angle grinder to grind the high bits down, and to finish off some fiberglass/filler lol
