On a good, new, stock one.

Fair play, cheers for the info!

Mine took that level of power when it was 135k old, f*cked and stock, so a new one should be fine. Have kind of lost track of what you're talking about with regards to mods for power, but I was running an HDi-tuning special stage 1 map with an intercooler to get that power. No boost hike required, was clean burning and did 55mpg on short stop-start journeys, not bad bearing in mind the map was made purely for power, I thought lol.

RE: Stage 2 and Above Owners (Past and Present) - MY95 - 09-09-2014

Sounds like the new valeo will have to go in then, mines currently on 125K so 10k down on what yours was, had my stage 1 map by Mr Whippy for around 5k now
So im guessing you had the R70, 1800 fps and Intercooler plumbed in for that map? 55 on short stop start?! Wow I need this aha, mine probably gets like 40mpg doing that, fair play

I was on about just having an intercooler without the mbc or boost guage Poodle Smile

Done around 40k+ on a full fat stage 2 now, stock clutch. No issues related to s2 yet.

That's right, the higher rail pressure may have resulted in better economy at low loads, but we don't know as several changes were made at once with the map. The car was stripped and well-kept, which certainly helps, and my driving style is pretty economy-focused.

Adding just an ntercooler will help get your economy up and add a bit of power if there aren't any deeper issues, but if you're getting it mapped to s2 then get the boost gauge and mbc imo.

Midnightclub - thanks for sharing your experience, like everyone else is im surprised that standard clutch is lasting 40k at stage 2, but good for you!

Poodle - I had though about that and fair enough, if your pretty economy focused im not surprised why your figures were high, especially compared to mine on a standard stage 1 which takes quite a bit of abuse around town
Fair enough yeah, may as well go all out if already doing the intercooler

140 and not higher boost, well hello coal.. Smile

My 206bhp HDI has done about 270.000km now. 100.000+ with 165+ bhp and 380+ nm. 200+ and 430+ nm for roughly 80.000km.

Do it right and it will last just fine.

Thanks for the reply, thats a good mileage! What turbo are you running? Im guessing youve also got the R70 fuel pump and 1800 FPS, what else have you got to get your 206 HDI to 200bhp?
Cheers

The turbo is a mitsubishi TF035 (3rd gen VNT) from a bmw 120d. R70 pump from bmw 530d, alfa injector tips, 1800bar sensor, 3.14bar map sensor 3" maf, intercooler uprated clutch (done about 110.000km and in need of a new friction plate). Remap by myself with launch control, limited torque in lower gears, and sime other custom tweaks Smile
