176k on 2000(x) hatch. Bought last march with 114k on it. Safe to say I should cut down on my mileage.

RE: How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - Kezzieboy - 30-03-2014

About 116k on my 2001 (y-reg). Owned it for nearly 5 years, had 76k when I bought it.

Re: How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - kentiiboii - 30-03-2014

Mine was just shy of 111k when I sold it.

Quite a few miles that!

Re: How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - kentiiboii - 30-03-2014

Thats about 2k miles a day Undecided

RE: How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - Tom - 30-03-2014

I make it 170miles a day.

How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - Razorback_Rob - 31-03-2014

My daily commute is 63 miles with dropping my missus off at work on the way (there's no nice paid jobs really where I live unless you're self employed or a passionate love for being a farmer or chef) then back again so just over 126 miles a day. Do a lot of long drives for work using my personal car as well. Add all in adds up I guess. Amazed that she puts up with the abuse.

RE: How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - ozonehostile - 31-03-2014

Robs milage is indeed insane, the endless list of things wearing out on that hdi are proof too haha

Broken fuel line on Saturday, rear shocks collapsed on Sunday... Bloody thing :-P

I'd like to see a vag put up with that kind of daily punishment and still be going reasonably strong haha

How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - Razorback_Rob - 31-03-2014

Neither my tdi or the dreaded sdi could :L. My bust dampers are cheap lowering (;

In all the 313k miles mines done it's only broke down twice, once the lift pump the other was because of some knob damaging the fuel pressure sensor cable.

With the lift pump failure I know it was about to go as it was noisy on the Sunday night and I had to get to work at a new place the next morning. It lasted me 100 miles the trip down and almost got me there, 20 miles short. In high sight I should replaced it Monday morning and been late.

I've just kept on top of services, suspension bushes and it's repaid me with many trouble free miles driving. Even the clutch lasted 300k miles! That was only the release bearing failing, there was loads of meat left on the pressure plate.

There's a fair number of 2002 registered 306 estate models around on 51 and 02 registrations.

That's pretty impressive.

Some quick back of the beermat calculations suggest that assuming it's 8 years old and that it's been used Monday to Friday every week for its entire life that it's done on average 360 miles per day.

RE: How Many Miles Has Your HDI Covered? - Poodle - 01-04-2014

Saw an 03 plate up by Dum-dum's once. O.o Late registration i guess, but still...

That's a crazy amount of mileage, original engine?
