RE: Top Gear - sweeney1987 - 06-02-2014 I enjoyed it, you have to let go that its not the car review show you remember from old top gear, its a rediculous entertainment programme Cant understand how they had a hot hatch challenge without a 205 gti though, would of cried if there had been one n they blew it up though RE: Top Gear - Dum-Dum - 07-02-2014 I'm late to this party but hey ho. Both the fiesta and the nova were the low powered hot hatches. There was a faster nova GSi and a fiesta RS1800 (more powerful version of the mondeo lump in Mays XRpoo) and RSTurbo. I cant believe that they went for hatches of that era and there was no 205 or 306 (depending on exactly what era had been specced) a 306GTi6 would of wiped the floor with all of them. A bit shocked the Nova was faster than the golf on the hill, thatll shut some of the VAG boys up a bit. Oh and rolling the nova on the way back down on the inside of the corner, yeah, nice try lads but centrifugal force says otherwise. RE: Top Gear - Curt - 07-02-2014 Erm, so was the Golf, it was an 8v, not a 16v. Does make me laugh that everyone's moaning that there wasn't a 205, so what? ![]() RE: Top Gear - Niall - 07-02-2014 That golf was slow but it sounded epic and imo, was the best looking car out of the 3 of them RE: Top Gear - Martin306 - 07-02-2014 (06-02-2014, 01:46 AM)sweeney1987 Wrote: I enjoyed it, you have to let go that its not the car review show you remember from old top gear, its a rediculous entertainment programme I can, Jeremy loves(d) the 205 and the 106 GTi. Also, it would leave the competition miles behind and win all challenges. ![]() RE: Top Gear - WiNgNuTz - 09-02-2014 Episode 2 just starting....anyone else watching, or have you all bailed on the top gear bandwagon? ![]() RE: Top Gear - Niall - 09-02-2014 I REALLY wanted that Alfa until i saw the interior! ![]() RE: Top Gear - WiNgNuTz - 09-02-2014 Agreed....bit poor really....and the bonnet is bolted shut?! How the hell do you top the washer fluid up then?! ![]() RE: Top Gear - Eeyore - 09-02-2014 So hammond used to have a confederate flag on his car? A symbol of slavery? Didnt someone on here do that? Top Gear - rocker8742 - 09-02-2014 Rowell is that a confession? ![]() RE: Top Gear - Tom - 09-02-2014 That P1, wow! RE: Top Gear - 7057sam - 09-02-2014 Peugeot even got a brief mention....... RE: Top Gear - Kezzieboy - 09-02-2014 Really liked that episode, much better, and it's got me properly excited about my career in automotive engineering, light cars are coming back baby!! RE: Top Gear - Craigus - 09-02-2014 Last week was more entertaining IMO Top Gear - Ben Jay - 10-02-2014 Just watched it properly. Tom Huddleston was really good! Much prefer when the star has a good personality! Also 4c is just beautiful! Don't care about the interior if the car looks like that on the out side! However the p1. That is pure porn and if it gets beaten by the Porsche I too will change my name! RE: Top Gear - Pete - 10-02-2014 The Alfa didnt do much for me TBH, Made a lovely noise for a 4 banger though! However the P1 in black.. <3 Re: Top Gear - kentiiboii - 10-02-2014 Oh wow the on was just porn! Look astonishing! I'd want something that looks good and cant be scratched...titanium dash maybe... ![]() RE: Top Gear - Dum-Dum - 10-02-2014 Brilliant episode and about cars for a change. That P1 is just incredible but I want that quad bike. RE: Top Gear - Just Sean - 11-02-2014 The engineering and technology in the P1 is porn. Anyone get erect when they showed the spoiler going up slowly? And the bit in afghan some of it had me hairs standing up! Like being back home? RE: Top Gear - HDIkyle - 12-02-2014 Am I the only one that thinks the p1 is shite? Absolutely nothing of that car interests me I fast forwarded tho it RE: Top Gear - Niall - 12-02-2014 (12-02-2014, 10:09 PM)HDIkyle Wrote: Am I the only one that thinks the p1 is shite? It wouldn't be my choice in supercar for a few reasons, but I thought it was interesting to see the tech that goes into it...and whats possible with a battery or two and a few motors.... Edited for you tom RE: Top Gear - Eeyore - 12-02-2014 The old McClaren killed loads of people. I wonder if it will be the same with the P1 RE: Top Gear - Toms306 - 12-02-2014 (12-02-2014, 10:28 PM)devils_fuel Wrote:(12-02-2014, 10:19 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Lol, I wouldn't say it's shite tbh. But everything on the P1 seems over the top, it's like they've gone too far with it all - too much power, too much weight loss (not even lacquering the CF so it'll soon chip!), too expensive etc etc. I'd rather have the MP4-12C tbh. Or even a Lexus LFA.... Clinical precision, in a subtle measured way. ![]() RE: Top Gear - Niall - 13-02-2014 (12-02-2014, 11:29 PM)Toms306 Wrote:(12-02-2014, 10:28 PM)devils_fuel Wrote:(12-02-2014, 10:19 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Lol, I wouldn't say it's shite tbh. The whole point was a "look what we can do...f*ck you everyone else" sort of thing and i think they have done a fantastic job of it. The 4C is more desirable in the fact its a bit more comforting but....well its just not a P1 lol. |
