No they dont, all the cases are the same.. so you can use the 200mm clutch

200mm clutch doesn't fit on mine :-\

Had to send it back and swap for 180mm as I assumed the gti 200mm would be an improvement

But on topic, i've always liked the '6, it might be because theres alot of roads down here where you can let it loose, that and they make a cracking noise.

Don't think I would be welcome at likes of Pugfest lol

Or is it just the box that is different?

The 106gti is a 1.6 16v, Tu5j4 engine, same as the Saxo vts

Then you have the s2 106 rallye, 1.6 8v, and is the Peugeot equivalent of the Saxo vtr, same engine, running gear, slightly better gearbox and obviously the rallye is waaaay cooler

Then the one with the ultimate gearbox, s1 106 rallye. 1.3 engine, Revvy as f*ck, and combined with an absolute beauty of a short ratio gearbox, unique to the s1 rallye. The 1.3 gearbox bolts directly onto the 16v engines so best of both worlds.

Only problem I had with a rallye box on a 1.6 engine is the 1.3 clutch and flywheel have to be used (180mm) so ended up shitting itself after a few full throttle starts ;-)

Uprated clutch and you should be fine :-)

Does sound like a very good set up.

It's sort of what I am wanting to avoid though, having to get parts and sort out x, y and z.

Literally just want something to abuse.

Not being lazy, just have the other project to focus on!

IMO.. buy a '6, 99% as fun as a 106 GTi but a lot more comfortable and much cheaper, sound better too

I wasn't talking about the clutch, I was saying any 106 gearbox will fit on an engine with a 200mm clutch.

If you need to upgrade the clutch, you need the flywheel and clutch kit for the correct year of your engine.
