E36 M3 LTW. Reckon the E30 is much prettier, but can't give up the straight-6 noise. Inlove

Couldn't possibly choose, many have been mentioned in this thread (Lancia/F40/Hakosuka Skyline/various homologation specials) but Lotus Carlton would be pretty cool I reckon.

Saw a MINT NS-X today and almost came. They fit the OP's requirements as well, able to run on a steady wage. Show me another supercar that isn't a stripped out racer that can do 30mpg...

There's an nsx in the body shop round the back of my unit. So nice!

Alot smaller than you'd imagine a supercar though, they're not much bigger than a 306 really, a lot lower but not hugely different. Tiny cockpit aswell

Not so much of a fan of the newer ones but older ones are alright.

If I could find one, I would have one of these:

Old man used to have one 'back in the day' I traced his to Scotland, but some git either nicked it or broke it up as it was reported stolen Sad

They aren't anything special to drive either, wheezy old Pinto engine, baulky gearbox, shit ride, shedloads of body roll. The mk1 Golf GTI was a far better car at the time.

But that's what driving an old historic is all about Tongue The moment you jump in the thing and turn the key, your thinking "Is this going to start?" then really having to work the motor to get it to perform, frantically looking for the next gear (which your bound to miss) and when wanting to come to a stop you actually need to be looking a good 1000 yards ahead and planning it in a 70s motor. My 2p anyways Itwasntme

I see your point but none of that applies to a mk1 Golf...
