the invertor that powers the dials wants 12v and the wires i picked up come on (12v) with the lights and dont dim with the panel dimer Wink

Ah fair enough!

Re: Guide: Fitting Plasma dial face's - David - 08-03-2012

Re: Guide: Fitting Plasma dial face's - David - 08-03-2012

mine is connected to the headlight leveler plug (ph3 Hdi)

Red wire = 12+ light feed
Green/yell =0v/ground

Good guide

ive just bought some from member... they fail to light up. Is there something im missing... theyve been bench tested all the contacts look fine.

RE: Guide: Fitting Plasma dial face's - cully - 24-09-2013

did you also get the invertor box and the switch and brightnes adjuster that powers the dials?
all the black dial plugs plug into it

RE: Guide: Fitting Plasma dial face's - Arron - 25-09-2013

I did the kit looks just like yours. The switch is on and ive had a looks over the joins and connections visually. They seem fine but ive noticed the wire is thin.

RE: Guide: Fitting Plasma dial face's - Arron - 27-09-2013

A contact had snapped.

its worth getting some ph2 needles or colouring the ph3 ones red with a waterproof felt tip. Does make a difference and the red glows through when the lights are on

brilliant guide by the way

Just for you doddy!!

Theres better kits out there for more money. Xtuners will make you a oem style set. There was a group buy... however not cheap. These are definately better than the standard dials imo ofc

RE: Guide: Fitting Plasma dial face's - Niall - 01-10-2013

Mine are Xtuners ones and i love them! Not exactly OEM but not as bright and as in your face as the cheaper ones we did a group buy on.
