Yeah its proper good fun. You have to stay awake for the 24h race, drink through the entire thing then realise what a mistake that was afterwards lol

RE: Le Mans 2014 - Niall - 02-09-2013

Last time we left the Sunday afternoon like almost everyone does, but I believe camping let's you stay into the Monday as well.

RE: Le Mans 2014 - Niall - 02-09-2013

Maybe do that. Then we should avoid all the traffic as well.

Also, blatantly need to get pissed on little french gay beers. lol

RE: Le Mans 2014 - c.gerrard - 02-09-2013

Fair point lol

But the amount of time everyone will waste re-fueling, the mighty derv will soldier on!

Audi already run a diesel car, you are a bit late to the party :p

Peugeot also did up until 2 years ago when they gave up as they were always slightly behind Audi lol

Hence why peugeot in 2007 entered a v12 HDI FAP which still did 40mpg yet did 700bhp and 1200nm torques!

Even after they limited the diesel crew, they still wiped the floor.. Toyota are doing really well with their petrol hybrid though.
Its a great race for those of you that don't follow, lots of different categories in one race so effectively lots of little races in one big race

RE: Le Mans 2014 - Niall - 02-09-2013

I dont follow it at all and never have but these sort of things have a great atmosphere and should be a right laugh!

RE: Le Mans 2014 - vlj - 02-09-2013

Yeah its bloody fantastic, can't wait Big Grin

RE: Le Mans 2014 - vlj - 05-09-2013

So got some prices.. as always, more is better - and the more people you can cram in your car the cheaper it will be.
The prices for 2014 for ONE car are as follows:
One car with 2 people
  • £378 total cost
  • £189 per person
One car with 3 people
  • £457 total cost
  • £152 per person
One car with 4 people
  • £536 total cost
  • £134 per person
One car with 5 people
  • £615 total cost
  • £123 per person

And those prices are for a Thursday departure (morning) from Calais, with a Monday return, camping for each passenger and tickets for each passenger.

The route we will be taking is as follows, avoiding the peage:

The route is 265 miles and takes roughly 5 hours but generally expect more with the ridiculous traffic going down.

Get on the booking!!

RE: Le Mans 2014 - Pugmarshall - 05-09-2013
