Where did you find the smooth roads? Lol most of the roads around here are awful! RE: OEM HDI estate - Dum-Dum - 22-06-2013 Yeah some of the roads here are awuful RE: OEM HDI estate - Ricky - 22-06-2013 A little demo of my headunit, not fitted properly, just testing it actually works... I love gadgets.. And number plate surrounds, well only one, looked odd on the front so I left that one off for now. Hated getting the covers off, but the cambelt was nice and easy tbh. The old belt and tensioners looked quite new, but were cheap motor factor parts so it's best they are changed for peace of mind. Old new Gen. waterpump Fitted, I know the belt isn't lined up in this picture, but I hadn't turned the engine at that point. Does this look right for tension? The old belt was very tight, like I couldn't turn it any more than 45 degrees. Tomorrow I need to fit my new genuine 307 crank pulley, along with new tensioners etc. Fill her up with coolant and see if it runs! All good fun.. RE: OEM HDI estate - Jimbo - 29-06-2013 Shouldn't ve able to turn belt more than 90 degrees on the longest straight run of belt buddy So yeah looks ok. Too tight and will be noisy. RE: OEM HDI estate - Piggy - 29-06-2013 weird how some things on a hatch look crap but good on a estate... those alloys just look spot on RE: OEM HDI estate - Ricky - 29-06-2013 (29-06-2013, 09:34 PM)Jimbo Wrote: Shouldn't ve able to turn belt more than 90 degrees on the longest straight run of belt buddy Yeah thought it was 90.for these, the previous belt was really noisy because that was very tight. RE: OEM HDI estate - Pugmarshall - 30-06-2013 That looks lovely! RE: OEM HDI estate - Ruan - 01-07-2013 Looks amazing dude!! Now I'm a bit closer to you, we definitely need a proper meet!! RE: OEM HDI estate - ozonehostile - 01-07-2013 how bad was the belt change? i know hdi covers are a pain to access but the change itself any more difficult than the xud? just wandering as i have an upcoming belt change to do on two of my mates hdi's lol RE: OEM HDI estate - Ricky - 02-07-2013 The covers and general deck clearing is a pain in the arse, but the actual belt change is very easy, makes the xud seem difficult tbh. And yeah bicester is only about 15 miles from me I think RE: OEM HDI estate - Dum-Dum - 02-07-2013 We need a mini meet round here as im only in aylesbury RE: OEM HDI estate - Ricky - 02-07-2013 (02-07-2013, 04:14 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: We need a mini meet round here as im only in aylesbury Yeah definatly, not sure who else is around here. RE: OEM HDI estate - Dum-Dum - 02-07-2013 Anton is up near bicester too. JonnyB is in High Wycombe but hes away on the Modball rally. Also I currently cant drive cos of my ankle. RE: OEM HDI estate - rd070707 - 26-07-2013 How much was the waterpump from pug mate? Type the part number 1201C4 into Ebay, there maybe more on there. I think they are about £70+vat from Pug. RE: OEM HDI estate - Ricky - 24-10-2013 SO...Update. Last couple days I have fitted a Xsara VTS beam, front dampers and springs. Also fitted my new wheels along with new rubber. And gave it a quick well deserved clean, it was filthy, still is inside. Pictures: Its amazing how much difference the beam etc. has made, the old beam+mounts were completely shot, so its nice to drive it without feeling the like the rear is going to overtake the front in corners. I think the front does need lowering a bit more, although the funny angle of the driveway makes it look worse than it really is. RE: OEM HDI estate - Carlos182 - 24-10-2013 Those wheels look lovely on there! RE: OEM HDI estate - Ricky - 24-10-2013 Yeah I think they suit it well, just worried they might catch the rear arches as they are ET12. OEM HDI estate - devils_fuel - 24-10-2013 Need a better pic of the car/wheels RE: OEM HDI estate - Dum-Dum - 25-10-2013 Any plans for some lows? RE: OEM HDI estate - Poodle - 25-10-2013 Looking mint dude, will echo what others have said about those wheels. Love how thorough your projects are. I'd probably be up for a meet over that way, fairly easy for me to get to. I want the front a little lower for a bit of rake, but other than that no, the rear is low enough for me, I'm not keen on slammed cars tbh. Cheers dude, I think there was going to be a meet over this way, don't think it materialized though. Will need to sort something out! Forgot to mention I also de-backboxed it, got an old straight through centre section and cut it up, has made quite the difference actually, much more than it did when I did the same to the DT, it drones quite a bit though.. RE: OEM HDI estate - ozonehostile - 25-10-2013 Nice to see the new wheels after hearing about them for so long :-D RE: OEM HDI estate - jonnie7057 - 18-01-2014 The polish really did her justice mate, lookin good now!
