I like how youvew gone from thinking "how low can i make a french diesel" to "how high can i make japanese suv"
personally though i would get a 90s landcruiser over the hilux, but then they cost a shit ton in running costs, massive engine, massive tax, massive wear and tear from full time 4x4. would be awesome though

That's exactly why I'm looking at the Hilux. They just keep going and going, and the Surf has 5 seats and a mahoosive boot so can lug all the crap of the day around in it, and still hit over 30mpg despite the massive 3 litre engine...
Plus have you seen how expensive Landcruisers are at a similar age!?

Because i've had to damage the lock rings superficially to unseize them, and at this point I don't know what condition they're in.
In an ideal world i'd ask over £200 for them, possibly anything up to £300, but they've taken a beating in my ownership and don't want to rip anyone off.
