JP doesn't anymore, switched back to 283mm GTi6s...

Bigger brakes won't stop you faster, just allow you to brake for longer without reaching the limit of fade due to heat....

283mm GTi6s with DECENT pads and correct cooling (not this Greenstuff shit...) are MORE than capable for everything but the most hardcore 250+HP persistent track action... People with high boost GTi6s on track are still using standard brakes with DECENT pads and not having any problems....

Unless you're getting lighter brakes, I wouldn't bother changing from the GTi6 283s...

It clearly wasn't a problem with the brakes though, was it... If i managed to lock up...

Tbh my situation is irrelevant however, wet road and cold tyres can hardly be likened to brake fade at the limit of operation on a racetrack...
