RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 Yep getting fuel from both banjos. And used the lucus bracket but moved the studs round. URGENT: bosch wont pump - Seb_Ryan - 03-03-2013 Gotta be a pressure problem, not pumping enough, did u try with the delivery valves out? RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 No i havnt. Wil do it now RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - Danny2009 - 03-03-2013 I'm out if ideas then mate sorry hope you sort it URGENT: bosch wont pump - Seb_Ryan - 03-03-2013 If it shoots out itll b a pressure problem IMO, mine did it and as I said was buggered lol gd excuse for 11mm haha RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 Welllllll. With the valve out it splutters a bit of fuel not mass amounts though. Must be a pressure problem. Is this fixable or a whole new pump? URGENT: bosch wont pump - Seb_Ryan - 03-03-2013 Did it come straight off a car or was it sitting around etc? Could be vane pump seized up etc RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 Its been sat in my garage for a year eith some fuel in it. Might have to get ruan round and see if hes willing to strip it down on the car :/ sooo pissed off. Gti isnt MOTd and the xsi goes off the road next week so if i dont get this running im screw'd RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 Feck it iv given up for the day. URGENT: bosch wont pump - dturbopeck - 03-03-2013 Banjo bolts in the right way, fuel in has big hole, fuel out has small hole, it's worth a look, RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 Yup, defo the correct way URGENT: bosch wont pump - dturbopeck - 03-03-2013 This sounds like the problem I had when I first built my 11mm, it must of been a head fault but it had sat around for about 4 years, just change the head in off it went, maybe the vain pump is partly sized, RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 03-03-2013 This one has been sat for some time, do you mean the LDA housing or the top of the pump its self (under the LDA housing, where the throttle arm is attached? URGENT: bosch wont pump - dturbopeck - 03-03-2013 You have to strip the pump completely down to free off your vain pump, I mean head as in the bit the injector pipes bolt into on the back of the pump, URGENT: bosch wont pump - Seb_Ryan - 04-03-2013 Yeah that's what happened to mine, the shaft on the head snapped lop RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 Might take it apart. Iv got nothing to loose atm. Do i just undo the nut in between the 4 injecter ports Re: URGENT: bosch wont pump - Dan! - 04-03-2013 Check out the 11mm head guide, that covers most of what you need to do RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 Ok cheers dan. Is it easy enougj to follow for someone whos never openes up a pump before? RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - Ricky - 04-03-2013 I don't think its difficult, just a few fiddly bits. RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 Dosnt look or sound to hard but that dont mean feck all lol URGENT: bosch wont pump - dturbopeck - 04-03-2013 Just take your time, maybe get a seal kit for when u put it back together RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 (04-03-2013, 10:09 AM)dturbopeck Wrote: Just take your time, maybe get a seal kit for when u put it back together Pffftt iv got a tube of clear mastic. ![]() Well i'll try it and if it works and builds pressure i'll get a seal kit for it RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - londondan86 - 04-03-2013 As you said you have nothing to loose so you might as well have a go stripping it down. Might as well gov mod it while your there! Just be careful lifting the top off as the governor is attached to the leverset. If you get stuck post up, we are all here to help! ![]() RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 What would happen if say i was to pull it abit hard on the gov? Would it be fooked or saveable? But yeah fook it im going to start ripping it down when i get home tonight and theres no point in me gov modding it. Its only a 20psi T2 daily work horse to lug shit about in and for the mrs to take to work from time to time . RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - londondan86 - 04-03-2013 The other way to do it is to remove the throttle arm then gentally tap the throttle shaft down into the pump (once you have removed the 4 allen bolts) this will leave the gov shaft attached. It's always worth gov modding, especially if you are lugging crap about 6krpm ftw! RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 Hmmm i think i may do that to be safe knowing my luck the shaft is prob tight as fook. Also i havnt got the parts needed to gov it and i just want the thing running ASAP lol RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 Right so iv got the head off the pump and its full of fuel. with the head off the pump and the injecter lines disconnected can i turn the car over with my finger of the black lever thing that the gov attaches to and see if i have presure? URGENT: bosch wont pump - RePT - 04-03-2013 What model is your car? Probably imobiliser. Try a direct connection from battery to solenoid.. Should start ![]() RE: URGENT: bosch wont pump - puglove - 04-03-2013 (04-03-2013, 07:11 PM)RePT Wrote: What model is your car? Probably imobiliser. Try a direct connection from battery to solenoid.. Should start Thanks mate. But solinoid was the first port of call. Waaaayyyyy post that. Little update. Iv got the pump apart and broke the fork on thats attached to the bottom of tye throttle arm shaft is it a raplacable part?? URGENT: bosch wont pump - dturbopeck - 04-03-2013 If you put a pic up of what you broke I no doubt have one lying around you can have, I've got lots of old broken pumps, |
