Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Jacko - 26-01-2012 http://www.avouk.com/MotorsportFrameset-84.htm That's every choice AVO offer. £25.78 for 9" 325lbs (exc. VAT I expect) Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 26-01-2012 That sounds like a decent set there. Could be tempted by some of them! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Jacko - 27-01-2012 Foxy-jim Wrote:That sounds like a decent set there. Could be tempted by some of them! All prices are per unit btw ![]() Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 27-01-2012 Ye that's cool! Definitely need some new ones! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Atterz - 27-01-2012 Ive just got off the Phone to AVO UK and have a few things to report - The standard Springs supplied with AVO GTZ's are 250lb. - The front dampers should be able to cope with up to 550lb springs. - The rear dampers should more than happily cope with 21mm TBs, although he was unsure with torsion bars so im not 100% sure on the limit there. - They do sell progressive or linear tender springs if you are so inclined, however im going to contact eibach to learn more about this. Hope this helps a bit. Put your findings up on here ![]() Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 27-01-2012 Thanks for that! I will get the name of the company my mate has for springs and give them a call at somepoint! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Jacko - 27-01-2012 If we can come to an agreement with a company, shall we see if they'd do us a discount? ![]() Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 27-01-2012 Im up for that! I definitely need some new ones! Are we all going to go for the same spring too? Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Atterz - 27-01-2012 Im not 100% with what springs im going for at the moment, im on exercise for 3 weeks at the end of the month so will be looking more after that. Im going to contact eibach to discuss a small lower poundage tender to work with the higher poundage main springs. Possibly even consider 350 - 400. We shall have to see ![]() Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 27-01-2012 Ye I don't want them just yet, but fairly soon. Just put my foot down a bit round some corners and it rolls too much! Need it stiffer! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Atterz - 27-01-2012 My intention, obviously having a thicker front ARB than yours is to pretty much disable the ARB and rely on the independent springs to help with grip and putting the power down on bumpy corners. Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 27-01-2012 Ye fair enough! Should handle well then! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Atterz - 27-01-2012 To be honest yours should work perfectly as your ARB wont restrict you in any way, Rippthrough runs the standard 1.4 ARB and loves it. Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 27-01-2012 Boom. Ye apparently the 1.4 arb is better for handling? Going to invest in some polybush mounts too! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Rippthrough - 27-01-2012 Atterz Wrote:To be honest yours should work perfectly as your ARB wont restrict you in any way, Rippthrough runs the standard 1.4 ARB and loves it. Ripp doesn't run a front ARB! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 28-01-2012 Wow. How does it handle? Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Rippthrough - 28-01-2012 Like crap, it's rubbish, I get out-cornered by milkfloats* *And then they have me on the straights too. Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Connor - 28-01-2012 Rippthrough Wrote:Like crap, it's rubbish, I get out-cornered by milkfloats* I can confirm all of the above it true ![]() Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Foxy-jim - 28-01-2012 Haha fair enough! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Atterz - 28-01-2012 Haha didnt realise you removed it completely, as long as your not crashing into milkfloats like a lot of 6s are recently then thats ok! Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Jacko - 28-01-2012 Ripp - What poundage do you reckon we should go for? We need your wisdom ![]() Re: Avo Coilover front springs - Upgrades - Connor - 28-01-2012 Jacko Wrote:Ripp - What poundage do you reckon we should go for? Ye any advice would be appreciated on whats best to go for! |
